I've had a BB q10 before and loved it, never had a curve but the q5 spaced out keys on the keyboard has me intrigued, has anyone used both and can offer opinions on which is better? Are the q5 keys super clicky like the old curves?

Got me interested, too. My brother wants to get a Q5, because he's maybe a bit "cheap", but it might just be the better keyboard for beginners with more space in between.

The Q10, with a bit of practice, through its smooth surface on the keyboard allows you to slide or swipe your fingers across and only very briefly press down while your fingers are already in motion to the next key.

A bit like the swype keyboard on Android, but in BB10 physical KB fashion.

This is a bit of an "advanced" typing style that requires practice. The straight keyboard, large keys and relatively smooth surface seem to help.

Couldn't do that on a Torch 9810, on a Bold I'm not sure.

Anyone any specific or special Q10 typing style?

    Zzzzwiped from a Zedevice....

I've had the curve and the Q10 I definitely like the Q10 keyboard better

I've had the Torch 9810, the Bold 9900 and now my Q10. The Torch was definitely cramped but passable, the Bold 9900 worlds easier but the straight Q10 is the best so far, IMHO, for both one- and two-handed typing. The predictive typing on the Q10 (and it does learn your style, by the way) is really nice and easy. I've found that a lot of my BBM messages and email replies just fly compared to the 9900. Your mileage may vary.

My sister used to have a Q10 and my mom is using a Q5* so I had played with both keyboards. They are both nice in different ways. I used to own a 8900 before the 9900 so I appreciate the feels of these designs.
    * A special shoutout to my CrackBerry buddy Brad who help me to pull the trigger on the Q5 as a gift for my mother when it went onsale for $150 on Telus.

Q5 is pretty good. The only flaw for me is that it's internal storage could up to only 8gb. For those who need a lot of apps, I advice to get a Q10 instead.
