No. It's just an aluminum inlay on the back of it. Sides are plastic. Very nice case though.

Yep, I was just gonna get on here and say the case just arrived this morning and it's not all metal like I had thought. It is really slim and doesn't seem to add much bulk and has a good tight, premium feel to it. The plastic sides are EXTREMELY smooth and glossy which will make it super easy to get in and out of your pocket but it also makes it easy to have slip outta your hand so I feel like I'm extra careful of that now...

Honestly one thing I really like about it the silver metallic look to the bezel is when it's laying down...matches the fret color perfectly and gives it the look of the 9900 series without the need for disassembling the whole phone to actually replace the black bezel! Definitely looks great overall and will be my daily case for the time being

I don't mean to jump in but I also have the holster and it's pretty good. Its made better than the one I have for the 9930 (which is also good) and I use it at work. I must say though that the BB Flip case is superb for when you want to just keep your Q in your pocket. It flips closed to protect the screen and keys.

Love it! The holster is something that is a true blackberry symbol..no other devices can come close..it gives good protection when not in use, and it allows the phone to be naked when in use..the phone looks pretty good naked if one hasn't notice!lol!

I have one of these in purple too, looks great on a white phone. It's grippy on the sides and smooth on the back so it slides in & out of pockets easily, while still allowing me to hold it securely. Adds very little to thickness of phone.

Actually I do. It flips down and can fold under so you can either hold it with the device or let it hang. When closed it puts the device to sleep like the holster and there's a hole-with a little magnifying glass-type piece in it- to allow a clear visual of the LED.
