I don't think there is anything in app world that is better than BB Maps, but BeMaps Pro adds some of the Google Maps functions to to BB Maps. It's a good addition to BB Maps, which I think is powered by TomTom.

I have found BB Maps to be too rudimentary to be very useful. For me the combination of Be Maps Pro and BB Maps works best:
    • Be Maps Pro: For finding routes from any A to any B, bicycle routes, public transport.
    • BB Maps: For turn-by-turn voice directions.

Just side-loaded Google Maps 7.3 yesterday - search and voice nav working flawlessly...(note: I'm running Rogers 10.2 via Sachesi)

What OS are you running? I'm on 1791 but using unlocked runtime from 641.

Just curious as I can always just try it to see if it works but thought I'd ask anyway.

For on device maps, Mireo Don't panic works well.

Use Mireo too and find it is a highly accurate, great Nav app! Also use the BeMaps Pro. Both are really good. BeMaps Pro and BlackBerry Maps work flawlessly together.

I like BlackBerry Maps. They always get me to where I'm going around LA. If it works well here, with our freeways, it should be fine for anywhere.

    Hi there,
I find using BeMaps Pro as Google Maps replacment, but for offline maps I picked up Mireo Don't Panic.
It's best and most reliable if You think of getting offline maps to use.
There are some alternatives, but Mireo does a good job by relying on 'locally strong' map providers (for me - EMapa for Poland).
It's "Try and buy" app. You can download it for free, check map accuracy and - if pleased - make 'in-app purchase'.
I'm pleased. And is one time purchase. No monthly/annualy fees. There was an update latelly, so devolopment is still active.
One good choice. Only one, but good enough.

If someone know a better alternative - give us a tip .

Mireo dont panic, I think it is very very good app, especially because tha maps are stored on SD card and it works in offline mode.

BB Maps are not very good, at least from my experience, and in our country (Czech republic).
