    Hello dear community

As the title says BBM is listed in BlackBerry World as "not available for this device". I can just find BBM through MyWorld-MyApps-Installed, otherwise can't even find it. Also I can't leave any comment. I am currently using a Q10 and from what I remember BBM is "not available" for quite a while, but it never bothered me, because I was not using it...till now, as BBM went Cross-Platform. Preinstalled BBM on my Phone works fine, but I am afraid that I also won't get Updates (besides the complete OS Suite Software updates, if BBM gets updated in BlackBerry World). Does anybody have a clue why this occurs to me? Are there any others experiencing the same "error"? How can I get this fixed?

Hi!!!! Welcome aboard!!! I experienced this after a faulty group join. All I could do to fix it was to install a leaked OS.

The Problem is I have it actually on my device, but it is listed in BBW as unavailable (so far I can remember it was always that way since I got my Q10) but before, when I had a Z10 everything was fine even with BBW. The only difference is that I use BBM now and didn't when I had my Z10. The comments for BBM are also fresh (latest one today, or yesterday). When I look for BBM via Web Interface I just get the v7.x (not compatible with your device, true). So from the comments I read I can see that actually it is available and people are using it. I wonder if that has something to do with my Country? Got my Q10 from Germany, but I am currently in Turkey (though every other App I purchased/downloaded works fine). As I said I have no access to BBM in BBW, can't leave comments can't update via BBW (if there are any updates), just tap open...and I don't want to install a leaked SW :')

EDIT: Found out I can't download Beta Zone due to the country I currently am (Web-Interface), what a mess! The BBW App on my phone gives the same error as for BBM

But for BBM the message is still that it is device related.

My phone came with that, but I've seen other apps that say the same thing, but most of those are pre-installed on my phone.

I have the same problem on an AT&T Q10 and think it started after I loaded the leaked 10.2.0.1791 then reverted to the AT&T official 10.1.0.2121 due to minor annoyances with the phone call behavior.

BBM is listed as "Installed" on my device in App World, BBM functions properly, and I can open it from the list of installed apps in App World. But clicking BBM in that list, which is a link to download/upgrade BBM from App World yields the attached screenshot.

So the version of BBM I have installed is whatever version is packaged with OS release 10.1.0.2121 and it cannot be upgraded (well, as long as I stick with the official AT&T release that is...). I have the same issue with Documents to Go by the way.

I should also take the time to introduce myself as a long time reader of the very helpful and informative forum posts and articles on crackberry. The immense database of knowledge here has seen me through many years of blackberry ownership.

that is how it is on my phone too but bbm works perfectly. I do wish I could select it to download it over the beta version I have but seems it wont be long till channels is part of all bbm I think. Not a fan of channels seems pretty useless.

Even when sideloaded? Is the BBM in the DL the latest official version, or a beta?

bbm bar file for os 10.2 sideload this

Thanks for the suggestion. I loaded this bar file with Sachesi but BBM would not open afterwards. Perhaps BBM 10.2.0.53 is somehow not compatible with OS version 10.1.0.2121.

So, I found release 10.1.0.4181 through Sachesi, grabbed the links, and manually downloaded the BBM bar file which happens to be version 10.1.1.8. Loaded that and BBM works again but still shows unavailable in App World.

Oh well, it isn't a major issue since BBM works properly, I'll just have to manually update BBM from now on. Even a device wipe and OS reinstall does not resolve this.

My WiFi has always been turned off. Anyway I tried toggling WiFi and restarting but there is no change. I'm tempted to load 10.2.0.1791 again just to see if it resolves this.

Hi, I loaded the official 10.2.0.1791 from Rogers Wireless through Sachesi, without first doing a security wipe. It did not fix the issue with BBM in App World. However, surprisingly it did fix Documents to Go, and I am now able to update DocsToGo through App World.

I will try a security wipe, reload, and also loading the leaked 10.2.0.1791 and report the results.

Well a security wipe and reload of both the official 10.2.0.1791 through Sachesi and then the leaked 10.2.0.1791 with the autoloader has not fixed this issue. I tried the reload and setup with my AT&T sim card installed with the phone activated on the mobile network, and also with the sim removed and only using WiFi. No difference.

Even a software reload through BB Link which loads AT&T 10.1.0.2121 does not help. All I can imagine now is there could be a problem with my (and others with this issue) Blackberry ID account.

I also did not notice this issue on my previous Z10. And I think I updated BBM once on my Q10 several months ago after receiving an update notification in App World, but can't remember for sure. This problem seemed to begin for me sometime after installing a leaked OS then downgrading back to the original OS.
