    I'm really pleased with the Q10 so far. But when it comes to bbm I feel like there are some limitations. One of the limitations I noticed is cropping display pictures, why cant I zoom out of the pic? Cant I show the whole pic or do I have to show half of it thanks to the crop? Is there a specific resolution?

    Also it seems that the quality gets lowered when I put a pic as DP.. anyone els noticed that or having the same problem?

    Hi welcome to CB!

    Yeah, a few users (including me) experienced this on BBM, i'm on 10.1 (Z10), it was also the same on 10.0. Hopefully this would be changed (via an update to BBM or OS10.2) to the way it was on legacy OS where you could have zoomed out enough to make the entire picture be displayed!

    I believe the image has to be a perfect square, like 500x500.

    But in the old bb u could just zoom out and you can see the whole pic, why would they not include this feature in bb10 ..

    Yeah in legacy os you could have used any picture, no real limitations as such... hopefully they will bring this back in an update...

    I'm really disappointed and need to see this updated soon. I can't even set my camera to 500x500(as far as I know) which would have been a great alternative.

    Edit using the picture editor and use the transform menu, select the 'square' one then save.

    Yeah but that's the problem. After I download a pic then I hit the square and have to crop off a chunk of it. No good

    I found the solution!!! Before throwing the picture, set the aspect ratio to 1:1. The pic will fit right into the cropping square. Have fun!
