I notice something strange. I usually swap out batteries as the phone is connected to power. I do so to avoid having to shut off the phone. But, 90 percent of the time even after I put if a fully charged battery if continues to register as if the battery was drained to the level of the battery that I took out. It only resets if I restart the device. About 10 percent of the time it will register the new charged level. Does anyone know how to get it to register the full battery level without rebooting? Thanks

Honestly, I wouldn't risk swapping batteries when connected to a power source. Besides, a reboot helps clear the phone and keep it running smooth.

I swap batteries atleast once a day. Phone doesn't need to reset that often. What the risk of swapping when connected?

Let us know what happens the next time.

Would you consider swapping your vehicle's battery while the engine is (charging) running?

You don't reset the battery estimated time left this way. Better to use a powerbank if you can't switch off the phone. The BlackBerry charger bundle is perfect for that and can stay in the palm of your hand, under your phone.

Sorry, I appreciate your response but didn't quite understand.

I need to switch the battery daily. Usually by early evening. bulky and unwieldy to carry around a power pack attached to the phone and, often I don't want to put the phone out of commission for the time that it takes to reboot. Not major, but a hassle
