Yeah, this is what seems so strange to me, but makes perfect sense when I'm seeing how fast my battery drains while it's sitting in my pocket... I didn't have this problem prior to the update, but I'm unsure how to address it.
The update itself is almost never the issue. It's always the process of resyncing everything after an update which you can see PIM is the highest and system is almost always the highest next to PIM. PIM represents, contacts, emails and calendar. And more ( like notes, tasks, etc)

It appears they have the default setting for both email accounts. Indexing shouldn't take a week to happen. If delete and re-add the accounts. It's annoying but its helped a lot of people including myself once.

I would try this if nothing else works I guess. Keep it plugged in and on wifi while doing it also helps.

The system consumption is way too much. Can u load the OS & wipe the devide again? Plus, can u wait for 3 days for settling?

Good for you. Fresh install is always better. Like autoloader which is better than OTA.

In my battery usage, Display is pretty high (2nd high next to System). I am using ATT Passport. I don't know if it is normal and if there is a way to reduce that?

Use a light theme. LCD screen aren't battery efficient with a dark theme or any black background.

Is there any way to switch to a "light theme" besides reducing brightness of display in system setting?

It's Q10. Using AMOLED display. Dark background or theme is the secret to long lasting battery life lol

My bad didn't notice it. Yeah, dark or light theme/background doesn't matter on LCD displays especially Passport.

I know this isn't really helping but this is what it should look like. Also maybe turn power saving mode on. This will reduce your CPU performance which will increase your battery life (worse case fix)

My q10 has been pretty good overall since updating to 10.3.1. I unplugged from charger about 7am and just took a screen shot of where it was at. Not bad for idle most of today.

Nope. With an LCD display, the backlight is always on. But the "rest" state for a pixel is when it lets the light through (transparent). A black pixel on a LCD display needs more electricity. I agree, the backlight need a lot more. But if you use a dark theme on the passport, you will notice a difference in battery drain.

As for the Super AMOLED display on our Q10, it's the other way around. The "rest" state is a black pixel. There is no backlight, as the "pixel" produces its own light. So a dark theme is more battery efficient.
