    First things first:
Which software version are you running?
When have you installed the software update? The device usually takes a while to settle in, yet just 4 hours of running time are really bad and shouldn't happen.
Open up your device monitor and take some screenshots of your battery section, this way it is possible to identify any apps and services which might drain your battery.
Some general info regarding your installed apps would be decent, since there are especially some Android apps which are known to reduce battery life big time.

Hi. Since I have the same problem, I decided to post here too... I took a screenshot of my battery usage.
I tried everything I saw on the forums, turn off location, hard reboot when battery is full, turn off all alerts for some apps... and I just can't seem to find which applications are draining my battery. sometimes I sleep with a 48% charge and when I wake up the phone is off and DRAINED!! What can I do?

I'm having the same issue with my Z30. I'm using the latest leak on Verizon with the 939 radio. I used the autoloader to install the os and the radio. Afterwards, I did a security wipe. Now, I'm down 20% in 1.5 hours (gps is off/notifications are off as well.)

    Help please

Hey guys, better post to the right thread or open a new one if needed If you have a Q10, you're in the right place If you have a leak installed, check the Leaked OS section first

Last but not least, if you want help, give us data : screenshots from your Device Monitor, battery tab, set for the Last 24h, are a good start ! Good luck

After unchecking most all the options in the "Device Search Settings" page of Blackberry Assistant, I am back to great battery life.
    I only left contacts checked.

Q10 is a great phone but I think most of us will agree that its battery is totally poor. C'mon, let's stop giving ourselves some convenient excuses.

Network is the biggest factor for me. On 4G, phone lasts just around 3-4hrs of browsing, emails and some social media. Same usage on 3G, make it around 6hrs. On 2G, battery could be acceptable at up to 12hrs. On 2g, well, why use a smartphone?

At this time I am on 4G, using mobile hotspot, and going around CB, I'm down to 11% from 14% WHILE charging.

Q10 rocks, but battery sucks. Bow!

I'm sorry but you probably have a defective battery or something. I charge my phone once every 2 days and I'm a heavy network user as well (4G always on, wifi whenever I can), call, text, mail, you name it. So I suggest you try changing your battery because something is clearly wrong.

Bad os install. Backup and restore is your only option. Happens to any bb10 device. Z10, z30 and q10. Have experienced it in all...

Aside from checking the necessary areas first for obvious solutions (like BBVE and Device Monitor), my suggestion is to clean reload the latest official OS.

Test the battery drain without restoring/configuring anything to develop a baseline and add back accounts, apps, and settings in batches. Eventually you will discover what the problem was.

This is currently what I am doing as I was not satisfied with the 12-16 hour battery I was getting with 87% health and mixed use.

A clean reload and restore/reconfigure in batches isn't possible with me given that my Q10 serves as a business tool. But I do have the latest official OS and I regulalry (or abusively) check with BBVE and Device Manager. Can't see anything wrong or irregular.

What's your take now on this? Is it physically the battery as the problem now?

Must be a bad battery or an android app or apps that are not shut down, look for android app killer and once all android apps have been closed properly, see if that improves. If there are no android apps on your Q, then def a bad battery or O/S needs to be wiped and re-installed with no backups restored. My Q had great battery life, better than my Passport

    Blackberry Passport running 10.3.1.1151

Thank you Now, I know why you have a very quick battery drain on Friday night : you use Skype I can even tell that your phone got hot this night...

Now, can you tap PIM services and give us these 3 graphs : battery, mobile and Wi-Fi usage ?

Here's my battery's graph. Got 100% charged 90 mins ago. I'm on excellent H+ reception. And have a frustrating 6 hrs batt life left.

    1. System
    2. Display
    3. PIM services
    4. Standby
    5. Hub

Will post later when batt goes down to 10%.

A linear decline as you show here is a bad OS installation. Only fix is a clean install. So maybe get your device administrator to do a fresh install for you...

I do not have a 'device administrator'. When you say clean install, that's restore to factory settings? So no back-ups/recoveries? That's quite frustrating.

At 50%, still on steady decline whenever in use. 4 hrs left, that means the 8 hrs @ 100% is pretty much accurate.

    No, it's not that bad.

Backup, power off your phone, connect to pc and reload firmware. After this finish initial setup and restore from backup. Do NOT restore accounts and settings!!

After that add your accounts again and after initial sync your battery life should be normal again.

This will cost you a few hours all in all. That's the ****ty bit.
