My Q10 had an automatic software update to release from my carrier, Vodafone, in India. Ever since then, my battery life has almost halved. I need to give a full charge to my handset by noon! Is there a remedy? Can I go back to my previous release 10.2.1 xxxx?

Besides, what was this update about? I can find no change whatsoever.

    Thanks for the wonderful work.

My guess is that you have to wait for your phone to settle. Let it connected to Wi-Fi day and night if you can (and avoid restarting it).

I'd also make sure it didn't change your network settings. Did it turn your lte antenna on when you don't have an lte network around? Did it change the sync settings on email?

A good start would be looking at device monitor. See what's consuming battery, and what's been high in CPU usage.

A hard reset on mine made my battery last long. I can go 10+ hours on my phone with same usage now!

Keep power button pressed until the red led light comes on after restart.

Also turn off BlackBerry Link connection.

It is unfortunate, but sometimes there is a hiccup in the software installation. If you can't fix the problem doing a hard reset, maybe just reinstall your current OS, or my suggestion would be to load a leaked OS. Good luck!
