Hey there!
The thing is I'm thinking of getting a new bb q10 and I have read some amazing comments about the battery life and some horrible comments about it too, so it gots me a little bit worried.
And another thing is reception, since with my actual iOS device 3G does not work that good and i was wondering how it is on the q10.

Thank u!! Another question like let's say you unplug the device at 8am in the morning, does the battery lasts all day? Or u have to charge it again at noon?

I have 9 email accounts, facebook, twitter, loads of bbm and volunteer at the forums, so yeah more often than not I have to charge a little in the afternoon.

Compared to most other phones, battery life is awesome. Most of my colleagues on iphone or android start searching for an outlet during the late afternoon. I don't have to worry about that till around midnight.

Look at my battery life, I have been on the phone the whole day.
First, I have 4 actives frames always open :
- Feedminder
- CB10
- Accuweather
- Terminal Control because I like to watch the battery life with the graph.

I have been on internet, twitter via Feedminder, and I have sent a lot of text messages, and a few bbm.
Ten hours with two hours left.. Not bad

I charge Mine twice a day. Annoying.

I unplug mine at 7:30am, and it usually lasts until 9pm before going to less than 10%.

If you use Android apps heavily, your battery life will decrease notably.

That's not normal for a Q. You should do a wipe and fresh install.

Battery life for me on my q10 has been very good for me. I can go about two or three days without charging. I'm don't talk or call much tho, I just check email and surf the web most of the time

The only time I can't make it completely through the day is with REALLY heavy use (hours in Android apps). With normal use, I generally get a full day, as shown.

My Q has the longest battery life of any smart phone I have ever had. Lasts all day for me. No games. Just texting and forum browsing

Just be mindful of your notifications and such. Mine was bad the first couple of days and after adjusting email, push settings and such I can go 12 hours easy on a charge. World's better than the iPhone 4s I was coming from.

Hi Francisco_2014,

I have a Q10 for more then a year now and I consider myself a heavy user. I use the Q10 mainly for my work. The battery is great in the Q10. It gets me easily through the day. Although I do charge it every night it usually could go for at least another half day's worth of work.

So in my humble opinion, go for it.

Far and away better than my iphone 4. It does take about a week for the OS to settle down and not drain for some reason right after you get it, so heads-up.

It is the best battery life I have encountered as compared to other OSs.
Compared to some of the best BlackBerry hardware it is similar to the 9700 in terms of battery life. Really good
How it will work for you depends on numerous variables (i.e. good/poor reception area/duration, number of accounts, apps running etc.), but suffice it to say that it will almost certainly outperform any other device being used in a similar fashion.
Last note: don't be fooled by the first couple of days after loading up an OS and configuring a device. (I have thousands of contacts being remotely synced with multiple accounts) it can take up to 48 hours--contrary to what I have read elsewhere-- for the new setup to completely settle in. During that time battery life is poor. After that is is unexpectedly great.

So I did the complete reinstall of the os. Will let you guys know if any improvement in battery life

So after the complete reinstall,it says I have a lot more storage memory,from 3.4g to 10g. But says only four hours of battery life

Awesome ! What a difference. Used phone all day still 50% left with ten hrs to go. Something was really wrong with my first install for sure.

One good thing about the battery life is that even when it's at 5%, it still means it's got juice left to talk etc. Other devices would just power down pretty quickly.
