I read about this guy's God Mode, so I checked my Device Monitor to see if I had it too. With his extended battery, his Zed10 is acting divinely. I think I'm "only" in Beast Mode with my OEM battery.

But...eight hours of regular email usage, a pic here and there, a browsing session and some light BBM/texting...

I wanted to test if the estimate would hold true, but like a Pavlovian dog, I plugged my Q in at bedtime and reset the timer. I'll try again and try posting shots.

"Your mileage may vary--" I am not a heavy Social Media individual (I don't have The Facebook), prefer to consume the Internets with a real keyboard, a big monitor and an old techonology called a computer-pointing device (though I do have a Playbook). That all said, it's probably because I only email, text, BBM and What's App folks. I did not make or receive any phone calls during the 8 hour period, so that may also have helped. I will see how accurate the forecast is, though, as I am testing today from a plug-in overnight.

No bluetooth, wi-fi calling on, wi-fi on, etc. So, no special settings. Unless you consider the attached a "special setting"-- but it more represents how I feel right now than anything!

I actually find that BBM Is a big battery drainer in my Z10. It is a little disappointing considering that is is a key feature for me. If I get into a constant chat that lasts for more than 5 min. I can notice a big drop in battery on the device monitor graph.

My BBM session was indeed just around 3:30pm (or so) yesterday, so that jives with what you are experiencing. Traded a few pictures and edited one of them. The drain shows.

I downloaded 10m2 just morning. I was told my battery would run hot and drain fast maybe first days until sync is complete... and battery starts running cooler. That has been far from the case since about 6:30 when I downloaded 10.2 I have 76% with a remaining 17 hours left... Damn!

With all due respect, I am guessing you aren't familiar with American slang (apologies if I am wrong). But here in New York City, "beast mode" is about a state of "awesomeness" and in the title it is used to describe...my surprise at how long my battery is lasting...

The guys on this thread call it something else

I also encountered the same problem as you have, it takes time for me to find the solution, but after a week or so my battery turns to normal. For you to reserve your battery don't use any wallpaper but only black and aside from that if you are not using it in downloading or anything put your network mode to either 3g/2/g or 3g/4g not on 4g/3g/2g.

It save up your battery juice. Hope that it will help.

Wow. That is awesome. I have an emerging theory that the Battery Time Remaining estimate is based on the past hour's usage...but in any event, your estimate is awesome. Did you plug in, or leave it to see how it went overnight?

I'm not sure why you are fretting... after 10 hours you have 75% still? That is great life. On any other phone, likely you would be less than half left.

Your 9 hours left estimate is likely based on your recent usage since 10am-- looks like you had two pretty heavy sessions (Browsing? Photo Editing? Or the big "beast"-- video watching or making or both!). I think your battery staying power is strong. See JDRiggs' Device Monitor-- he went 10 hours and had 63%, but because his usage seemed more even in the past hour than yours, the estimate was for 1 Day 12 Hours. And look at Q10Bold-- he has pretty even usage, and it shows in his estimate (I assume 3 Tage means 3 Days in some language!
