    The microphone on my T-mobile Q10 seems to be defective. My voice is muffled and sounds far off when I talk through the handset. Surprisingly, when i switch to speaker phone, people can hear me loudly and clearly. I re-installed the OS through BlackBerry Link in case it was a software hiccup, but it didn't help. I guess my next step is to bring it back to T-mobile. Will they try and repair the microphone, or just give me a new Q10? Anyone know? Thanks.

    First question, do you have a case on the Q10? The microphone that is used is right down to the side of the speaker on the bottom when you're using it as a handset. When it's in speakerphone mode it uses the microphone(s) on the top side of the device next to the power button.

    Might take a look at the microphone on the bottom and see if anything is covering that small pinhole or if using a case make sure it's not covering it.

    Otherwise they won't try to fix it, if it's only been a short time they'll probably just give you a new one on the spot.

    Thanks for the info about the speaker phone using the mics at the top. Are you sure about that? I thought the 2 holes at the top were for noise canceling only. I do have a case, but i didn't noticing anything obstructing the hole at the bottom. Will check again.

    Could you swap a z10 microphone into a Q10 microphone

    I have the same issue here..

    Cant find a single answer.. Seems to only be to certain people though so weird.

    Gonna call AT&T about it I think..
