Q10 SQN100-5/10.3.1.1016
Audio Boost available in Settings--> Main Volume.
Equalizer (if that's what they want to call it) in Music app --> more menu (three dots).
Installed via autoloader no restore.
As far as music volume, I dunno. The only time I use the headphones is as an antenna for the FM radio with speaker on.

Don't think so ;)
Never used an autoloader, phone was brand new, no Audio Boost Option. I still think it may be linked to your location, as the European Union for instance enforced by law the unsafe warning (and I guess don't allow the boost option. But I wonder if the step, after the unsafe warning was triggered, is not equivalent to a Boost option...).
I think it has to be linked to the location.. it seems that BB's in the UK and RSA do not have the audio boost option, but the blackberry's in the USA have them.. don't get me wrong the BB's speaker volume is perfect, but the issue likes when I plug my earphones in. With regards to the difference in sound between max vol. with the unsafe level and audio boost, there is a difference.. a distinct difference in bass and treble.. I'm just looking for that extra kick that audio boost gives

I had audio boost and somewhere down 10.2.1.xxxx upgrade road I lost it. Now on 10.3.1 I still don't have it. I'm located in europe. I could try to use some NA rom to try this location based theory.

Have you tried the Neutron music player? The interface is a bit complicated, but the customizable sound is unparalleled. I don't listen on headphones too often though, and when I do, I don't want it super loud, so I don't know if this app will help for sure.

Is it free? Will def giv it a go..

Imo I think audio boost has a loss in quality.... it's definitely louder... but it's like digital zoom vs optical in cameras... I'd rather hear a higher quality but lower volume....
Ho well, you will have the bass and treble settings with the Equalizer of the new native 10.3.1 Music player... in February, right ? ;)
Let's hope it does the job.. yes apparently in "February"

Hi ! I have the same problem as you but I found something, I live in France and I changed my SIM card with an asian one and the audio amplifier appeared in the audio settings, I tried it and it was working, that meanthat every BlackBerry 10 smartphone have this feature, the mobile operator is blocking this feature.
I heard that Vodafone (and Bouygues for french users) allowed the audioboost feature.
I use a BlackBerry Z10 with leaked OS 10.3.0.908
Interesting to here but doubt itl work in my country as I already checked blackberry's with different service providers. I downloaded the Neutron player as a substitute. It's actually quite good :)

Sorry blaze the same music on a bold 9900 is super awesome when compared to a q10 or z10.
Try it for tht matter even a BlackBerry 8520 curve rocks. BlackBerry q10 even with bass on nothing works on par with the previous BlackBerry.

I've tried different OSs. Didnt get headphone boost on any of them. I tried 10.2.1 and three 10.3.1 OSs, No headphone boost in any of them! I have a Q10 SQN100-3
Strange. I thought everyone had it. I do. Here is the proof and it works on my Q10 SQN100-5Attachment 352552Attachment 352553
It's dependent on country and carrier.
