I'm using my Q10 because it is a BlackBerry. The Android device I had between my BlackBerry devices had a physical keyboard - slider. I do, however prefer a physical keyboard over a virtual one.
To be fair, the Minuum keyboard (Android) is an amazing touch keyboard that puts swype to shame. It's a great project and they have some great plans for their technology.

Guys I use it cause it's way way better than ios or any stupid android. BlackBerry s have already started rocking. It won't be much time if we all would be having an extra phone an the primary handset would be a BlackBerry.

Apart from it being bb10, it's size , keyboard, battery life.
Q10 On Steroids running on pure Awesomeness
I bought my Q10 because of the physical keyboard. I keep it because of the battery, the weight, the size and the look (and BB10)
definitely.
I miss the physical keyboard. The z10 is awesome, but I'm going to have to buy a q10. My partner is probably going to kill me but oh well hahaha

I really like the physical keyboard and the feel that I type with it
I was, until that "double typing" issue. I paid a lot of money for a phone that "broke" when I took really good care of it. I'm not even sure if it was broken or if it was the software, but I'm overall angered by it. The BlackBerry Q10 keyboard wasn't even good. It sucked. Even after one year it still sucked and I never could get used to it. The old BlackBerry OS sucks in comparison to BlackBerry 10, but the hardware was better. On that same note, BlackBerry can't touch OG Nokia when it comes to built quality. It's just too bad that NOKIA relies on that crappy Windows software now when it was doing really well with Symbian OS and even with that Asha stuff happening in Asia.
Don't do it! It's a trap!
Blackberry is dead; long live Blackberry!
I too came from a Z10 after a year of using it. But now that I have the Q10, there is no going back for me.
Physical keyboard all the way.

I def brought the Q10 for the keyboard size and everything else. I love being able to use this phone with ONE HAND!! And typing emails and texts are way faster for me on my Q10

I found this thread quite late but yes I m usng the Q10 primarily because of the keyboard. Also the battery life.
The Z10 was kinda meh for me. But THIS phone I just love.

Yes, that's me. I love the physical keyboard.

For sure. Love the OS and experience now, but the physical keyboard kept me away from a Z10 or Z30.
I use the q10 for the keyboard.
But I have to say, I actually enjoyed typing more on my little Bold 9790. I loved the ergonomics of that wee device.

Yes i picked the Q10 as my daily driver because of the physical keyboard. I like android but their keyboards are horrible. When BB started to allow android apps i have not looked back at all....
Absolutely that's 50% of the reason most users stay with blackberry, well I can't speak for everyone but yes that's why I kept going Q over my Z

Today, I am going to switch back to Blackberry Q10 after using iPhone 5S for approximately 2 months now. I just can't get used typing on the virtual keyboard. It just not as good as physical keyboard.
Plus BB 10 OS is actually pretty good to use. Its swipe function is awesome!

Love it, loved the torch also....all for the phys keyboard. Good syncing with Outlook too.....
I originally started using the Q10 for the keyboard. However, I've realized screen size is important to me so I'd like to switch to a Z10 or even Z30.
I do not and cannot commit to BB10 at the moment though because of how many times the hub malfunctions. Either not letting me type a message after I put in recipients name, or not even opening messages. This is more common than not. No other OS I've EVER dealt with had such a SERIOUS issue. Yes, when your main feature that makes the phone what it is is not working, that's not good. During these times, I cannot send messages to anyone, no email, bbm, etc. I usually have to restart the phone to fix the problem so the hub is cleared. Not even swiping down the right and resetting the hub fixes it. True blacksheeps will give an excuse, or tell me that these problems only happen to me or whatever but i dont care what you guys have to think. I'm not interested in biased views. Seriously, get over your pride and acknowledge the issues that need to be fixed. If they don't fix them, BB10 will never increase its market share and will have loyal customers leave.
Blackberry is the only phone that I actually try to move away to but the physical keyboard just draws me back.
I was on the 9900 going to Samsung S3. After 1 month, going back to 9900. Then upgrade to Q10 and in March 2014, goes to iPhone 5S. In late may 2014, going back to Q10 again.
The good thing is me is that I don't have major issue with Blackberry. I don't really install apps on my iPhone anyway. Plus I really like the swipe to switch app, peak etc function on the BB10.

In answer to the OP, I am. I briefly tried a 9850, and quickly went to a 9930. I spent at least ten cumulative hours in the AT+T and Verizon stores playing with the Z10 when it was released and while it's a great phone, I just can't type as fast or as well as I do on my Q10.
Plus the one-touch dialing is nice.
