Moderate usage. Facebook, Twitter, foursquare, linkedin, 1 yahoo account, instagram, skype, and CB. Not so frequent gaming, and a bit of browsing. Gets me through 12-13 hours a day.

Well, we wrestled with BlackBerry Protect, Link, Desktop Manager, Gmail, and a few reboots for over two and a half hours (and, then finally, BlackBerry Protect contacts came trickling in after that), and battery was still 75%. I'd call that good.

That's more like it. On my normal work day I use a lot of email but major usage is voice calls. Basically the only phone I use is my cell phone and I make a lot of calls.
My Z10 needs a charge around 11pm. Which is good unless I have a party planned.
From what you say, I would think the Q10 should be good enough till 2Am which takes care of a full work day and party afterwards.
Waiting to hear from other Q10 users.

Yes Q10 battery life is definately better than my Z10. I'm currently 12 hours in with my normal usage (perhaps slightly more) and my battery has 25 % left. By now I'd have had to charge my Z10 for sure.

That isn't huge. I thought with that huge battery the Q10 would have lasted at least 50% more.
I loved my 9900 keyboard but I'm loving the Z10 keyboard more. The only thing about the Q10 right now is more battery life.
But if it 25% more, I would stick with my z10 any day.
I also have a BlackBerry car charger and since I spend 4 hours in my car I can normally manage. Only thing is that I would rather not use a car charger as it normally messes the battery up.

Hey Sam. Yeah, It may not seem like much but I was getting really poor battery life on my Z10. This is definately a marked improvement. I also have a charger on my desk at work so the Z10 battery issue hasn't been too much of a problem. But like you, I'd rather not use the charger (or know that if I forget to charge it, I can actually use the phone if I go out after work). So the extra battery life of the Q10 is definately welcome.

Battery life is better than iPhone5.

My wife uses Tumblr like, all day (side loaded Android app). And twitter and BBM and Gmail and Web browsing. So, from 2:00am when she finally put it down, fully charged, it got to 10 PM (18 hours) of moderate use , and it was at 40%.

I bought her Bejeweled2, so we'll see how that goes.

    I'd say that's stellar!!

She's not as heavy a user as I am. But she's still using it a lot.

My biggest killer is phone calls. I'm constantly browsing or checking crackberry when in free, but the phone calls are constant.
Since I got my phone on 26th of Feb, I have logged in 2 days and 20 hours of talk time with monthly data usage of 1.2 gb.
My Z10 normally lasts me 12 hours in these conditions, which isn't bad. But what it means is that I need a booster charge around 7pm if I plan to go out for the night. Was hoping that the Q10 would be able to last out even the night out.

The only way you are going to know is to try one yourself.

I have only had mine for just over two days and my impression is the battery is lasting as long or longer as my results with the 9900. Probably longer because I played with the Q10 a lot these past two days. For example, the phone comes off the charger at 7am and goes back on the charger at 11pm. Both the 9900 and my Q10 have had 30-40% battery left at the end of the day.
