I hope blackberry makes a Q10 cradle anyway even if it doesn't charge the phone. I would still appreciate and buy it!
    Anyone feel the same??

I didn't see one that's about a non charging cradle? It's just a whole bunch of people complaining about no charging connectors and charging dock. I do use key words to search up threads before I post a new one. And if you're here to help, you could link me instead of a reply with no help at all

GooseWhite has released a charger cradle for the Q10

GooseWhite Desktop Charger Cradle for Blackberry Q10: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
I would buy this but can't in the US. Anyone found anything similar for the US?

They will give us charging contacts on the Q11. Just too complicated to try new stuff right now.

I'm tempted to buy that GooseWhite cradle, however I want to know how long the power lead is on it, so I know it wouldn't cause a hindrance on my desk if the lead was too short. It looks nice though, I've got to admit.

The Goose White cradle comes with a USB cable (micro at charger end). So it can charge from a PC or you can connect your BlackBerry charger directly.

The only problem I have with it is the v bright blue light on the front when powered. It needs a piece of blutac or similar to block it.

I can see your issue with that. Prob wouldn't make a difference if you had it in your office, however if it's going to be in your bedroom, there's an obvious issue here. I wouldn't want my bedroom glowing neon blue like Nancy's bordello when I'm trying to get to sleep either!

To stand up the phone? The number 1 feature to any dock. Charging is second

May have been discussed in many threads but is was a HUGE error on Blackberry's part.

How hard could it be to put two contacts for charging the battery on the bottom of the device.

I'm getting prepared for getting my Q10 on Wednesday from T-Mobile here in the US. The picture looks like the one for the 9900 but I think it will look like the Goose one from above. But I'm not sure. I took a chance anyhow and ordered.

According to this listing, the seller 1APlusOnline on this page will ship in 1-2 days from California:

Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Sunny Savers Blackberry Q10 Twin Dual BLACK Desktop Charger Dock & Spare Battery Charger Sync & Charge Pod - Part of the InventCase® Accessories Range

    Later Edit:

Looks sold out now. No longer there.

This would have to be a red light then. So no worries.

Just for my understanding: why not buy a dock/charger (they are not THAT expensive anyway), and unplug the cable, if you not at all want it to charge the phone? But having the OPTION of charging it, while standing upright? I don't think there will be a big market for a cradle only w/o charging function. I can't think of anyone producing this.

Because charging cradles for the Q10 have a micro usb plug somewhere. Therefore the inserting and removing of the phone from the dock becomes a nuisance/more difficult. Thats whats so beautiful about the charging contacts in the old BB's

My question is in regards to Thorstein's comments at Live. they are focusing on "Mobile Computing" and the ability to use your phone as a portable workstation. Has anyone seen anything or has there been any new rumors? I am looking at my slowly declining Playbook and while I ordered a keyboard I need a new phone as well and since new BB tablets seem out the phone may solve this but what exactly are they planning?

I ordered the goosewhite charging cradle noted above from the clove site in the UK. I am in the US, and it still allowed - a bit more for shipping, but nothing crazy. Around $25 for the cradle, and $25 for expedited shipping (reg shipping was around $12 ?). Looks like a good fix but we shall see, and Ill update this when I get it and test it out.

I got one of those $10 horizontal docks for my Q10 but I can't deal with the sideways positioning. I just bought this one for $30 shipped that will hopefully do the trick. I'll use my BB quick charger and plug it in the side no problem. I'll post pictures and my thoughts when I get it.

Still miss how cool dropping my old 9780 in its charging dock was though and the clock would come on automatically. Auto-bedside mode settings too I believe it had.

I got one of these and it works quite nicely to hold my phone up at night so I can see the nice bedside-mode clock: LINK I notice they are on sale now, too. Any idea about a Q10 Cradle?-6285.jpg
