I will probably not get either the Classic or the Passport (though I've certainly considered getting them). The reason for this is simple:

I don't like getting alpha hardware.

I don't have access to unlimited amounts of $$, and so I have to carefully consider what I buy. While I certainly am curious about these phones, I consider it to be better to wait and let BB work out some of the kinks in the Passport or Classic before committing to one of them.

10.3.1 allows letterboxing of android apps...it's great. And i am against the grain in here, I can't wait for the classic. MY Q-10 will go to standby duty.
Seriously?? I think it is time for me to jump back in....

Does it solve all problems with Android app incompatibility resulting from the square screen?

You guys are scaring me. I had an old bold up until late this year and then went with Windowsphone via the 635. It was an adequate phone, but after the screen cracked I figured I couldn't pass up the $250 Q10 offer. I hope I don't get a malfunctioning keyboard dud like I hear mentioned multiple times here. I'm almost want to return it without unboxing after reading all of the comments here.

I cant say it solves every android app, but all the ones I have tried it on works. Do you have an app in mind? i can check it.

Nope not the only one. The Passport is a very innovative phone but that form factor is not for me. I will check the Classic out but I'm not interested in the toolbelt anymore and the internals don't seem like enough of an upgrade to the Q10 to warrant switching.

I'm hanging onto the Q10 for now.

Looking forward to a Q20 - a compact sized high-spec qwerty device with Passport-like navigation.

Specs on Classic just won't cut it.

Well, the Classic's codename is Q20. I guess you will have to choose a higher number

Why wouldn't the Classic have a removable battery? Just makes the Q10 a more attractive option

I'm back to using my Q10 full-time and am very happy so far. Gonna wait for At&t for 10.3, then will no doubt get the Classic as my main device.

This is my 3rd Q10 and have never had any double typing issues? Hopefully I've just been lucky?

Really can't wait to get my hands on the Classic! IMO, it's my Bold 9900 and Q10 all in one...perfect!

Another Q10 lover here.....since the specifications of the Classic will be almost the same (except the size) I am not considering it. Q10 reminds me most for my ex beloved Bold 9900.

What if the next Q10 had the 3.5" screen as the Classic and the capacitive keyboard of the Passport? Would you get one then?
I was thinking the same thing. A Q wit capacitive touch kb would be very interesting, giving more screen real estate we would gain and would address complaint that tool belt takes up too much space and is antiquated and a step backwards, yada, yada... also would address complaint that Passport is to big. I would like to try that device!!! Also, add a removable battery for good measure.

The BlackBerry Classic is the Q20.
Sorry to be the party pooper here but originally BlackBerry announced the Q20 device and that the Q20 will have the good ol' Tool Belt that we all know and love from BBOS Devices.

Then the BlackBerry community got involved and said that they shouldn't call it the Q20 they should name it something else....

And thus came the official name change where the BlackBerry Q20 became the BlackBerry Classic.

Sorry for being unclear. When I say Q20, I mean a true Q10 upgrade. The Classic is not an upgrade from the Q10, and neither is the Passport. I don't want the tool belt and I also don't want the humongous Passport, but I still want my traditional keyboard. Am I being too picky?

The idea is to make a battery so big that you don't need to have a removable battery.

I'm relatively happy with my Q10, which I appreciate even more after my 2 day trial with a Droid Turbo. I am looking forward to seeing a Classic in person though, as the main things I would like improved on the Q10 are a bit bigger screen and the send/end keys. Hoping Verizon makes some sort of announcement this month.

I just switched from the Z10 to the Q10 I used for my last job. I'm a little rusty on the keyboard but I'm happy so far. It's surprisingly small in my hands. (I never used it much for work).

Very similar to the 9930 I had before.

I like the q10, but my main quibble is that not all of the android apps I use will play nicely with the square screen. I wish a future OS would allow the q10 to run android apps with letterbox bars on the sides so that screen ratio wouldn't be an issue. If it weren't for this, I think the q10 would be a perfect phone. The classic is okay but seems too big for me.
