Open up Docs To Go and then Word To Go and try typing in that! Still having the same problem?? I'm not! Leads me to believe it's a software issue!

There are too many elements to say that it is a hw problem. In any case the main problem I see is exactly this: we are opening a pissing contest among users with this problem, while we should know by bberry where is the problem and which is the solution

I put in my old keyboard which has been sitting in a sealed bag of rice for over 30 days (some members were saying it's moisture that causes it), double typing in docs to go as well as everywhere else.

This might prove the problem is intermittent for some users.

    No. It's hardware.

And this could have been posted in one of the other 300 threads on this topic.

Generally, whether it is a hardware or software issue, I feel BlackBerry should treat this issue seriously and solve it once and for all.

I had this same issue with a z10. Guess what, no button keyboard. I re-installed my OS without using a back up, EVERYTHING from scratch and it went away. Pffff.. Go figure.

For me it was hardware, affected buttons feel different in touch and sound.

So it can be software, OR hardware related. Okay. I haven't ever experienced the double typing issue myself, but I think BlackBerry should replace the keyboards for free as a recall (if they have even figured out what's causing it). Kind of like in automobiles.
