Basically when I select some text often the backspace stops working immediately or shortly after. Anyone else gets this? Sometimes it starts working again after I leave and come back to the message a few times.

Yes this happens to me also, very frustrating, during an email. I want to put a list of blackberry issues that needs to be addressed, I suggest capturing a video with another device so that people can see the issue.

Yea during email only, not SMS.

I get that too, but not every time. So far I've noticed it only with email. I've had to select a section (one or two words) and retype.

Text selection is really my main problem with the Q10 at the moment. It is very much hit and miss... sometimes it does what you want, often times it doesn't.
