Accidentally hit delete when a text message wouldn't send last night after rebooting twice. Now my frequently used contact (that I was sending the text to) doesn't appear in my text inbox (or whatever you would call it) even when I send them a message, nor do I receive any notifications when I receive a text from them and the incoming message does not appear in my text inbox.

To check if I have received a text from them, I have to go and create a new message and hit the message field. Furthermore, the contact is not deleted from my contacts, however, when I text them, I have to retype the entire name (no auto fill). I did this before earlier this year and had to take it in to do a system restore. Is there any simpler way to fix this?

Have you tried deleting the contact and then adding them back?
