some people complain about having to have apps running since there are no background apps-

why not have a second page for active frames- but at the very end (ie all the way to the right) for those apps that people don't want to see- or clutter up their main active frames page- and an option to decide what active frame page to open each app in (ie battery monitor or bebuzz could be placed in this 2nd page so that they wont always be right in your face)

Headless apps are coming in 10.2 so while it's a good idea, it will probably become a moot point within a few months when 10.2 launches.
