Hi guys,

I'm receiving my Q10 today.
I would like to test the new 10.3 build. I can see there are many troubles with that build (keyboard etc ...). Is Q10 suffering the same stuff ?

If it's a new Q10 & you will not be restoring anything onto it from a previous BlackBerry, go for it! It will have ZERO issues.


More you restore from backup etc., is what causes issues.

I am running 10.3 on my Q10. SQN 100-4 on sprint, with no problems at all. One thing I DID NOT do was the restore my app data from backup since that backup was a 10.2.1 file. I did restore my settings and media but did a complete FRESH app install from BBW and Snap.

No problems at all so far, except for some typing lag, but that is not a big deal. The android apps run better with this runtime.

Running 10.3 for one week now. I have no issues, installed from scratch, no restore. The OS is quick, smooth and operational. Loving it

It definitely is, especially when you open the calendar, you literally feel like you can't do anything.. also e-mails..

I think it'll fit a lot better on the 3.5" screen it's made for. The 4.5" will be PERFECT for it.

Q10SQN100-1/10.3.0.1130 is the best OS I've used so far on any device or any platform.

Mind in attaching me the autoloader link for the same??
I downloaded one from somewhere but it didnt change my software numbers in my Q10.. Remained in 1052

I really like the 3x5 icon grid. I think the icon size on the current 3x4 grid is unnecessarily too big. But, I don't like the new plain icons. I wish there wasn't a move by all these companies to go with the childish and boring flat icons.

And, I really don't like large blue circle at the bottom center of the screens. Very distracting! Honestly, it looks stupid!

Ugh, they definitely tried to look more like android in this one. I really don't like the change from glossy icons to matte. It looks like they were made in ms paint. Maybe that's a bit critical but I really expected a classier look from BlackBerry. I hope the finished product will be a lot more refined than the leaks have shown.

I've been using Q10SQN100-5/10.3.0.1052 for a week so far and everything seems nice. Android apps work a bit faster and the icons look nice. I like the new grid layout so I can have my folders and apps set out without covering my whole wallpaper. I did take off the "home" page since that gave me a whole extra step to access my apps after closing one.

I'm not a fan of the icon appearance. Don't like the white hub that looks very plain, I love the dark look to apps. I love the way 10.2 looks on my phone right now. We shall wait and see the finished product!

Afaik there won't be an official 10.3 release for existing devices, since this will be Passport exclusive. All devices (including Passport) will get 10.3.1 later this year after the Classic has been released.
Although it might be possible this plan has changed, I wouldn't put my hopes too high for an official 10.3 rollout.

Still I think the new icons look boring.

Just compare the broswer icon with the current one.

That 10.3 one looks PLAIN and uninspired. Infact most of them look that way.

Why they changed the icon format?.

Also the icons no longer have that blackish transparent vector behind them. Now they look like missing in that wallpaper without it.

Can't please everyone, a ton of people complained how the darker background for the icons didn't look right and interfered with the wallpaper

Stop complaining, you installed the 10.3 release... dedicated to the Passport. Wait for the 10.3.1 official release dedicated for the Q10. You will have the dark theme and a lot of improvement

I installed this and then very quickly un installed it. The hub is not fully functional. Twitter and facebook didn't integrate well atall. I'm holding out for gold or final release.

I installed the leak 10.3 and I love the new features on it but personally, cos it's leaked, I feel so many thinks are to raw for my liking, so am downgrading back to my original 10.2 os while I wait till dec or Jan when the bugs on the leaks wud have been fixed and refined or official release comes out for my Q10
