Has Verizon released 10.3.1 for the Q10?

I tried a search but couldn't find a definitive answer.

    Thanks

10.2.1 seemed to come out a month or 2 after 10.2 came out.

Wonder what the wait time will be for Verizon customers.

Get ready for a long wait. This is a low priority for VZW.

Better off buying unlocked devices that way you get the updates faster.

I'm almost thankful that Verizon releases more refined versions of the update later. I have a feeling I won't experience any of these issues that others seem to have.

That's a good way to look at it but the wait is still hard lol

Pretty pointless response in this thread. There are no "unlocked devices" that will work properly on Verizon. And before you go off and tell me to switch to another carrier, that isn't an option since my phone is provided by my employer (who isn't gonna switch off Verizon).

Can a leaked version, or Sachesi be used to grab a version from another device, or does the whole CDMA vs. GSM not allow that? I remember putting 10.3 on my Verizon Z10 a few months ago before I sold it, so I would assume it's possible to do the same on the Q10.

Yes. Take your pick. CDMA and GSM has nothing to do with it. Just the device radio. Incidentally, Verizon has released 10.3.1.1448 for the Classic that you can use on your Q10. Just grab the radio for your Q10 instead. 311/480 in Sachesi. Or plenty of autoloaders available for newer leak OS's.

Verizon, as we all know, are typically one of the last carriers to push out updates. But from what I have been reading on Crackberry, Blackberry has temporarily stopped pushing out 10.3.1 to fix the bugs that a lot of people who were able to receive the 10.3.1 update (on other carriers) are having. So we will have to wait much longer, unless you decide to go the leak or Sachesi route.

I mentioned this on another post a while back, but reading about the bugs and problems that people are having with 10.3.1, I'm actually glad that Verizon is taking their time. And anyways, whenever we DO get OS updates finally pushed, it's a more recent version being pushed out. Not ALWAYS the case obviously, but at the least, from my experience, it is a stable version. If you really want 10.3.1 and can't wait until whenever Verizon releases, then yes, go the root/Sachesi route. I am perfectly fine with 10.2.1, personally. Not to say that I won't be excited for 10.3.1 obviously, but I can wait. My Q10 works fine on 10.2.1. Rather a stable, usable phone than a buggy one, right?

I would tell your employer that they'll save a ton of money by switching to AT&T.

I switched my small business and all of three lines to AT&T just to get the Passport. I'm saving about 10% on the monthly bill too.

If I could buy unlocked devices that would be great! Instead, I live in a place that the only reliable wireless provider is Verizon. Sigh. Now we wait.

My employer chooses Verizon for many reasons, not just monthly cost. Plus they do not pay for devices, only service. Telling 60 people they have to go buy a new phone wouldn't go over very well.

I would bet there are a majority of those 60 people that ave verizon lte phones, which are all already unlocked and can be taken to att with an att sim card.

I don't think Verizon is going to update the OS for the BlackBerry Q10 at this point. You either buy the Classic and have another phone Verizon will never update, or switch to AT&T/T-Mobile and use an unlocked phone.

Never again am I waiting on a carrier.
