    Does anyone know if the 10.2 update if it ever comes out for ATT has the ability to assign a TEXT tone yet??? What they have now that says "messages" is not for text messages it's for emails. Does this get fixed on 10.2???? It's driving me nuts since the majority of my phone is text and I have been so used to assigning text tones for each specific individual, was even able to do so on my Torch 9810. Please help!

    Yeah I have nothing of that sort. So that's what you get on the 10.2 update? I can only set standard tones for ALL contacts. Not separate people at the moment.

    And specifically for EACH individual I want to set a tone for certain people like my gf, family, certain friends. Not just a tone for all texts.

    Ohhh...I can do it per contact as well, but what I showed above has been available since launch.

    I think the per contact option comes with 10.2.

    Hopefully it is released soon for you

    10.2.1 has so many customizations. In this update you can set different tones for different users. The only one I have set different though is the wife. Well, because when she texts, I am supposed to jump. LOL.
