Didn't buy new Priv cause I wanted new toy. My Z10 died. I have Backup. Discovered that RIM thinks everyone buys the PRIV phones just to have the new cool phone. Not true. 900+ contacts stuck in Z10 backup!!! Thanks a lot RIM. Stupid move! Maybe time to dump BlackBerry. Been BlackBerry user since the 7530, maybe 15 years ago.
Get it together RIM. Somebody write the code to allow use of OS10 backups. Has no one else bought a Priv after a lost, stolen, run over, dropped in toilet phone???

The transfer doesnt work if your previous phone is dead. I just had the same issue, have all my contact info stuck on the dead Z10, and a backup file in .bbb format that cant be extracted. The only work around I have found after hours of grinding away online, is you need a another BB10 phone, restore your backup file on it, then save all that data into outlook, or to the cloud, so you can access it on your Priv. Its by far my biggest upset about this new phone. Grrr.

I don't like it.

robellus's base plans offer 500mb of data.

Clouds require you to always be connected to data.

Some of us don't always have a WiFi signal when we leave the house or can't afford the 130 dollar high priced Robellus plans.

Prices on data plans need to come down before cloud services can really be used.

Oh cell coverage and data speeds too.

Right now, unless you're rich and cal afford the best Robellus plan, it's not worth it.

And did I mentions security reasons and the fact I wouldn't want to store personal information on someone else's server?

I'd rather just have all my data on my own SD or hard drive where I know it's safe and I do not need an outrageous data plan to use it
