I don't have any plans to buy the Slider, but I voted for BB10 just because it's what I'd rather see on this device.

My wife needed a new phone three weeks ago and got herself a Samsung Galaxy S6. This phone has been my first ever experience with an Android device. MY phone has been a BB10 phone since the day they were released in the USA. (Z10 and now Z30) Because of what I know about BB10 and how it works, Android seems to me like it's so poorly thought out that it's almost a bad joke. I've played with her phone for about 10 hours in the last three weeks, and I can't stand it.

So long as the HUB is built into the Android version running this phone -yes.

I love BB10 but if this is where BlackBerry is going with their phones (Blackberried Android phones) I'm following along.

I highly recommend choosing another Android OEM. You'll get a better Android device and Chen will probably sell you the hub and other PIM stuff as an app.

Please support this statement? I haven't seen anything but speculation as to how the thing will arrive.
I think your statement is a lot of assumption without facts?
    Just sayin?

why would he sell a feature (the hub) that is a core part of the Blackberry experience? It would be like selling you an iphone where you would have to buy Itunes...

I think he means, the BlackBerry Experience will be made available for purchase to any other Android device.

Really? Show me a better android slider made by a current android oem. BlackBerry makes better phones than Samsung, HTC, Sony, ect. I think your really down playing how unique this phone is on the market. There is nothing else in its category.

I think that 'Android' and 'BB10', if any, in the Slider are just matter of choice of skin and ecosystem (ie. whether to have the Android run-time system). Both are effectively BB10. So, if I'd like sliders, I would choose the 'Android' version.

If BlackBerry makes a BB 10 version I'm all over it.
Not a fan of Android, not just because it's security. I just don't like how it looks and works.

    Best regards.

Does the BlackBerry slider run Android? And when I ask that I mean does it have the play store and Google services installed on it already?

Looks good, but it would be a pain to text on. The top row of keys needs more spacing from the screen, otherwise you can't reach properly with your fingers

I would take it, even though it is running Android, provided I get the hub and peek and flow of current BlackBerry devices. Would sport two best devices from BlackBerry... Passport and Slide... Maybe it might be called Visa... Never know

I doubt you'll be getting peak and flow - hub yes but the BlackBerry gestures, probably not.

Just staying with the Z30 and the Classic for the moment. Sorry, not attracted at all by any of the most recent BlackBerry phones. Don't like iOS at all, nor the Androids. Sometimes I feel left behind and trapped in a sort of "digital" cave.
