Assuming that the slider will sell with both OS (without dual boot), wich one are you going to get?

In all honesty, I'm in the minority here. I'm very deep into BB10 and would continue down that path if given the option with this slider device. (Voted)

Years ago when upgrading from my 9700 Bold, it was between a 9900 Bold or a 9810 Torch but I couldn't get past the chin on the torch for my big hands and thumbs. Since then, I've always pondered since first seeing images of the Milan slider concept couple years back what a slider device would bring and if it would be suitable for me. Transitioning from a 9900 to a Z10 then Z30 was not terrible but I always love the keyboard. The Venice looks to be that next device for me but time will tell.

If all else fails, I'll likely move to a Passport once my Z30 kicks the bucket. I'm also in the minority that still believes a Z10 like slider with a 2500+ mah battery would have sold buckets. However, the app gap will always plague BlackBerry regardless.

Depends on whether BB10 suddenly makes my Gmail safer, and secures my personal information held by my credit card issuers, banks, employers, insurers, doctors, etc.

So... I guess I'll give the BlackBerry Slider running Android a shot.

Is using Gmail on BB10 any safer than using it on a desktop?

    Nope... that's my point.

Unless you mean a desktop at an airport lounge or internet cafe,... then yeah, it's probably safer. Lol

Yeah, I avoid public wifi. If I can't, I don't use it for anything important (banking, etc.)

So long as the HUB is built into the Android version running this phone -yes.

I love BB10 but if this is where BlackBerry is going with their phones (Blackberried Android phones) I'm following along.

Ya.. there are a few for sure. The bigger issue for me is the lack of integration that will likely always exist between Android apps running in BB10.

Assuming it comes to Verizon, I'll buy a BB10 version. Love my Q10 for the pkb, would like a Z30 if it had a pkb...best of both worlds.

If the BB10 Slider is a continuation of what we have now, with Android Runtime, I'd get the BB10 version... but if the Android Runtime is stripped out to have an AndroidBerry, then I would consider the AndroidBerry. I don't use many apps, but I do have a fitness band that requires an Android app. I really like the Hub, but there are email/messaging alternatives on Android. I don't know what options I'd have with BB10 and the fitness band app unless BlackBerry somehow re-kickstarts native BB10 app development.

    I'm in the fence still.

I'm not a blackberry loyalist, I just want a phone that's the best for comunication, and since I met my first blackberry (the 8800), I've found no phone that is as efficient for comunication as BB's are. I don't use a lot of apps, I don't play games, but I crank a lot of text and emails through the day.

Because of that, people can tell what they want about BB10, but the hub alone, makes BB10 the best OS for me.

So I want a physical keyboard to crank a lot of text, and the HUB, so I'm waiting to see how functional Android's hub is. If they manage to make it close to BB10's HUB, I might jump to see Android.

Think how much it would cost to load a batch of devices with bb10 that they know they will sell? I find very hard to believe that they will only ship Android, that would be a terrible message to the market admiting the fail of BB10. Is that what you're going to say to your Enterprise customers that just bought bunch of classics or passports or Leaps?

You don't even know almost any specs of the device, what did the rumours and leaks told you other than the physical aspect? We don't even know the real screen size, the leaked news told you nothing.

If you think the thread is useless, look the the poll results. There is demand, for BB10 for this device in the forum, it's an easy and almost cost-free sell
