Could someone please clear up my confusion. Does the Priv include wireless charging if you buy directly from Shop Blackberry and not through carriers in Canada?
Yes it does. Carrier devices do not have it.

Just to clarify
The shopbb model and att are same models....so why wouldn't it have it?

Not sure if there's A wireless charging for sure. I have not read anything about in reviews. Is there any link for these to read? Ty

Read the CrackBerry and Android Central review. They both state that Shop BlackBerry versions have wireless charging. The Canadian carrier version doesn't have wireless charging included.

I can confirm that the AT&T version does have it. Tried to past a picture of the quick start guid that lists it, but the Priv crashes the CrackBerry app apparently. (Known issue)

What's the point of not having it for Canadian carriers? Did the Canadian carriers actually make a request to BlackBerry for a different variant to exclude wireless charging and if so, why?

My confusion arises because on the US shop blackberry website it states Qi wireless compatible but on the Canadian site it's not listed in the specifications page.

Someone posted in here that a Telus rep stated they had the svt 100-6 model. If true, does that one have wireless charging.
I asked at one Telus store and the salesman was clueless and not interested in helping. Just said it was a demo model and wouldn't matter anyway.

All Canadian carriers are selling the STV100-3 variant, which does NOT have wireless charging.
All ShopBlackBerry devices (US & CAN) are STV100-1, which have wireless charging. Confirmed by Michael Clewley from BlackBerry on Twitter.

I hope so, when I ordered mine via shop BlackBerry it didn't say it has wireless charging. If it does then it worth the 100 bucks!

I can confirm my Telus Priv is stv100-3. No wireless charging, as expected.
It doesn't say it because it's an error on the website.
Don't worry it will have it.
Soooo... the Canadian phone is 943 bulks and doesn't come with the wireless charging??? Really?

the ShopBB Priv is a myth.
$896 outright from Rogers, cheaper than the wireless charging model on shop blackberry.
Wireless charging doesn't seem to be huge yet in Canada, so by skipping it that's an extra $10-30 profit per handset for the carriers. So as long as they all do the same thing like the pseudo monopoly they are and skip wireless charging they all make more money.

Thanks for all the help. I'm leaning towards buying directly from Blackberry because it's unlocked meaning faster updates directly from BB, and wireless charging. I currently use a S6 edge so I already have a quick charger and wireless charging dock.
If you read the 7 threads on this topic (but why would you), all of them conclude that the STV100-1 in CANADA does have wireless charging.
I try reading as much as I can, thanks for your reply.

Just read an article on mobile syrup says Blackberry removed wireless charging in all Canadian Priv's to keep the price down.

I'm going with Bla1ze and Michael Clewley. It's there.
