    Seems like a lot of core features of BB10 will be making it to the Priv, but will we be able to transfer our BB10 info to it?

    These are some of the most important things I'd like to see transferred:
    • BBM & WhatsApp messages
    • Emails
    • Sms's
    • Contacts
    • Apps and Games


    Things like music, pictures and videos are saved on my SD card so those wont be a problem, but with the different OS's will it even be possible to restore our BB10 data to the Priv?

    BlackBerry will likely provide utility to do it via a PC.

    I remember the days when I could upgrade a BlackBerry device and have almost all data transferred automatically via BIS where data was backed up to. Just login new device with the BlackBerry ID.
    Gone are those days.

    I saw a picture that showed a data transfer app on tge priv. I think Whatsapp backups are very unlikely, as we are moving between operating systems.

    Apps and games are also very much unlikely

    Most of my apps and games are android, so maybe those can be transferred?

    Also will we be able to install apps from BBW on the Priv?

    I don't have another Android phone, but has anyone tried copying the WhatsApp backup .crypt files from their BlackBerry to the Android phone and tried restoring messages like that

    That doesn't even work when you copy in between BB10 phones, tried it last time. Only reliable backup I find is Link.

    As far as I know for Whatsapp you can't even transfer in between iOS and Android, let alone BB10.

    It's worked for me before, I copied the .crypt files to the phone first, then downloaded WhatsApp and then restored the messages
