Used to hate tiles, but they have grown on me over the years... Looks like most of my favorite bb10 features are going to make it over - anyone have any idea about the tiles?

Here's an example from the Priv Telus Simulator.

There will be pop-up widgets. Slide up or down over an app with the 3 dots and you get the app widget.

They won't act the same, BB10 Active Frames are programmed by the Apps dev; Androids just show a screenshot

one thing i'm worried about -

in bb10, the active frame view is always there as part of the OS, a swipe/gesture away and is reflective of the current state of your app environment.

in android, the 'recent apps' functionality that priv is using to resemble active frames, is a step away from your default view.

every android phone i've used has about a one second delay when you press the multitasking/recent apps button - feels like a seperate app that has to launch, figure out what apps you ran recently, and generate screenshot thumbnails before being able to show you the 'active frames'.

it just doesn't feel seamless to me. really hoping the priv isn't like this.. with priv running its own bb launcher, hope they've retooled the way it works to eliminate that lag..

Might depend on the device. I have a LG G3 on 5.1.1, and it reacts instantly to multitasking button, current app slides down to reveal tiled apps with no redraw and doesn't pause to bring up any previous.

So wait a minute, are the frames not going to show active info, like current tweets, upcoming tasks, BBM group comments, etc as they do now in BB10?
