Since it's being released sometime this month I would think so. Granted Blackberry probably wont release it till after sometime after November.

Given Chen's comments about Android security in Nougat, I'm expecting N, a few months after the new Nexuses.

I'm confident the PRIV will not just receive the N but also the O as the commitment of BBRY to provide substantial software updates for at least 18-24 months from the date of the release of the phone. So, rest assured, the priv will be updated twice more before being left out in 2018..

Probably for carriers but unlocked is more likely sooner.

The Priv for sure can handle it. Whether BlackBerry will release Nougat for it, will remain a mistery. Anyway, as someone else pointed out, Chen's recent comments about "added security" thanks to Android 7.0, gives hope about an actual release sometimes this year (I predict around December) ;-)

Don't think we'll see N until next year. N will allow the Hub to have more functionality with notifications and reply so it will take time to integrate that. In addition I think BB will devote more resources in integrating the framework into the OS to increase functionality and new features making the OS a true BB Android, a side consequence being that BB Android apps will be less useful on other phones.

Beta in the winter quarter, gold release Q1 2017 and individual carriers who knows.

If you are on VZW you probably won't see anything further than MM, VZW will EOL the Priv in a few months and it will be just a memory to VZW.

Has Verizon Priv even gotten MM yet? I won't be surprised if it stays on Lollipop forever.

I don't think they will take new beta members though. They filtered out the people who just wanted M and opted out as soon as everyone else got it.

It's a shame how much power carriers have. If BB were to say screw it and release an autoloader with MM for Verizon devices right now they'd be burning some bridges.

I think a few months from now. Maybe the Argon will be released with 7.

It took BlackBerry this April to get Marshmallow because Priv and Android on BlackBerry was completely new so they were bug fixing and still developing.

This time around upgrading from Marshmallow to Nougat should be quicker. Developer preview has been out for months, I'm sure they've been testing/developing for it already.

Hopefully they have been testing the N previews. The multitasking window should be a great feature for the Priv's screen size as well as the improved Doze mode.

Yes. The BlackBerry PRIV will definitely receive Android N. No doubts about that. It's BlackBerry's current Flagship device. Plus, no reason why the Snapdragon 808 can't handle the OS.

I'd say there's plenty of doubts about that. In android world, flagships last less than a year. BlackBerry is in for a very rude awakening if they try to parade the Priv as a "flagship" device in a month or two. Android is a very fast-paced world with tons of competition and little profits.
