I am wondering if Amazon will be selling the Priv at launch.

If anyone knows, please inform me. (+ source)

    Thank you.

It's unlikely that we'll know until more launch details are released by BlackBerry. I'm guessing yes, though.

How do you avoid taxes with Amazon?

Certain states, there are no sales taxes collected.

If Amazon does offer, I am canceling my order thru Shop Blackberry. I have prime so it will get to me in a day with Amazon. Any clue how long it will take to be delivered by Shop Blackberry?

No sales tax in certain states. We haven't had sales tax in SC through Amazon since they built a distribution center back in 2011. It's only for 5 years though. Next year SC will be paying sales tax.

ShopBB has been really fast in the past, at least once,.... I had ordered my BB Passport, but I ordered it within hours of it being on the website, and i got it within two days, some people had experienced some delay, when they had ordered a little later.

But do you have the same return policy through Amazon as you do ShopBB?

You have to choose expedited shipping through shopblackberry (digital river). It's only a few bucks and you'll have your device in 2 days if there is stock.

I've ordered over ten devices since 2013 and chose expedited on all but one... every expedited was 2 days, the other one took 7-10 days. Just a heads up from my experiences with shopblackberry.

I do hope Amazon carries it as well! Hopefully that "partnership" is still well and intact with BlackBerry. Amazon has much further reach as well as easy returns, etc.

Amazon sales tax depends upon the address to which your item is delivered... i.e. Delaware= no sales tax if shipped from Amazon to any Delaware address...

Digital river is ShopBB. They have it. The issue with them is that they don't tell you when they are out of stock. So you might have to wait a while before they ship it out, unless you ordered yours the first day.

Digitalriver is a disgrace... had misery with them for my passport... when sold by Amazon, is that BlackBerry itself with full warranty?

Amazon "partnered" with BlackBerry. Any new device from Amazon, at least BB10, receives full warranty backed by Amazon's easy 30 day return process as well as faster updates.

If you do not live in a state that collects sales tax, Amazon will not do it. However, if you do, then they will charge you for it.

Depends on the merchandise and the seller I think. Some are Amazon Prime eligible (one day/two-day/standard shipping) while some are not.

If there's an agreement of some sort, Amazon will most likely be the store and not a merchant.

Went thru a few nightmares with DR on my Classic and Passport.

Ordered the same phones from Amazon and have had nothing but great experience with them.

I'm holding out for Amazon to carry the Priv and you best believe I'll be the first to order with my Prime account. Can't wait!!!

With the Passport and Classic, at least they were counting on the Amazon appstore, so there was incentive.

With the Priv, they may go separate ways for the initial launch at least....

This isn't about the Amazon AppStore. The Priv by Blackberry will have Google play store and that doesn't mean Google will/should sell it. Amazon is one of the biggest online seller in the United States regardless of their App Store, and with Amazon Prime, You get your items pretty fast, even on weekends (by their partnership with USPS), Plus you get "free shipping". In fact, November 6, is a Friday. Now people should understand why Amazon Prime could be better sometimes. :-). Because a two day shipping gets you the device the same weekend.

I think Google should sell this phone directly on their Google devices site along the nexus.
