    Authentication problem.

Hm, just got the device but I can't even get the Priv to connect to my wifi network while sitting next to the router.

    Selected wifi network from list.
Filled out password (yes, it's correct lol).

All I get is this endless loop:
    Connecting….authenticating....saved…..connecting…. authenticating…..authentication problem…..saved….connecting….authenticating…..save d etc.

    4g works okay.
All ipads, laptops, iPhones are working perfectly on my wifi network.

If I open the internetbrowser Chrome it shows some dinoaur lol and it says:
    " You are offline.
Wi-fi and mobile data are unavailable. The page can be
loaded once the device connects to a network.

    ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED"

Other people have the same problem?
Any Idea how to solve it (I hope I did not receive a faulty device after waiting so long to get it in the first place).

    What do you mean?
If I go to settings and click on Wi-Fi it says it is on.
It shows other networks in the list (which aren't mine).

Is your Priv new? Did it connect before? Have you tried connecting to another wifi?

Yes, received it this afternoon. No, never were successful to connect after entering the password of my wifi network. I only get the mentioned authentication loop. I'm already irritated to start with regarding the screens left corner acting like a bb storm ("loose screen"), so it isn't helpful for my mood that I cannot even get this thing to connect to my wi-fi network.

Does your router have rules to only allow access for certain MAC addresses?

    Not sure. Why?
I also have a imac in the living room but that one is connected to the router via cable.
But all I know is that ipads, Blackberry's (9900/Classic), iPhones, laptops can simply connect and stay connected to my wifi network???? All can do stuff wirelessly at a (download) 2 MB/s- (upload) 2 MB/s speed.

This is the first time that I cannot get a device to connect and stay connect within 5 secs after choosing the wifi name and fill out my password.

How many devices does your router allow.. some only allow so many wireless connections.. try going to a friends house or free Hotspot and try connecting try turning off the rest of your wireless connections at the house as log in to your router and see if it says something when you try to connect your blackberry maybe for some reason your router is blocking the phone

Are you trying to connect to a 2.4ghz network? If so try turning Bluetooth off. I can't connect to 2.4 while Bluetooth is on. Tried multiple routers. I can connect to 5 ghz no problem.

Okay, guys, thanks for all the suggestions.

I solved the problem by just deleting my wifi home network and setting up a new one.
I connected the phone to my wifi home network by picking it from the list and filling out the password and it worked. Not sure what the initial problem was.

Even though I am positive that I filled out the correct password, a buddy of mine with an Android smartphone said that he also gets these endless loop authentication messages when he fills out an incorrect password to a wifi network.

So, I guess, this is also Androids (Privs?) way of saying that one filled out an incorrect wifi password.

With apple devices you get this message:
Incorrect password for: "................" (Wifi name).
Much more clear than these endless loop authentication messages, in my book.
