I remain on my Passport and quite happy, but starting to think about my next phone. I see the Priv getting old, and the DTEK50 which appears almost as good at half the price, and I see the prospect of a DTEK60. Then again, the HUB will soon run on all devices. What to do? I am not really a slider fan, but everyone must admit that the Priv is a unique form on the market, and easily differentiates you from all other phones. When I read the reviews, I understand that BlackBerry's engineering of the phone was amazing but a number of issues are not perfected. So the question arises "Why doesn't BlackBerry for once learn from consumer reviews and respond with a second version that meets those concerns, and go another step further in innovation?". Or should we conclude that it's just not worth it?

Price to design, manufacture vs volume of sales.

That being said, having a unique form factor is a good thing for BlackBerry.

Agree with both of you. But just like quizm, I am still sitting on the fence waiting for a Priv2. I hope it comes soon. Or at least give us a rough time frame. It would help decision making.

PRIV sales are not particularly high. BlackBerry has transformed itself into a software business. I would love a tougher, faster PRIV 2 with a premium keyboard, but as much as I would want it to, it is not happening.
