    I have a Blackberry Priv new and the batt life sucks..... the duration of the bat is about 6 hours off mixed use....

    What I can do ?

    Check setting to see what is using most of your power... Wi-Fi, Screen, some random app.

    What OS are you one... can you update to Marshmallow?

    A Factory Restore might set things aright... but you'll need to backup data.

    Been having the same issue lately on Verizon priv. BB services uses as much battery as the screen.

    Here are some tips that BlackBerry Tech reps suggested in trying to fix my Priv overheating / lag issue. I've did all these tips and turned down my screen brightness to the lowest settings. My phone doesn't heat up much so far, but it still overheats on certain apps I use. Just not as bad. I'm hoping they can find a better way to fix the overheating issue. What's the point of having a smart phone if I have to do all the work checking for emails, notifications, and etc.

    The battery life on Marshmallow has improved. My device lasts for about 9 to 10 hours.
