There is no 'or', It is 'and'! And when there is 'and' joining both two conditions both conditions has to be true!

Lol give it up man, there is no bb10 version. That quote clearly states that the Priv will provide OS options. As in, now we have an Android phone to chose from amongst our existing bb10 phones, thus giving you options.
Furthermore Chen himself said there is no bb10 version. He said the Drivers were to expensive and that Qualcomm didn't even want to build for bb10
What does this comment mean then? "While the new device will provide a choice in OS to new and existing customers, the company remains committed to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, which enables industry-leading security and productivity benefits."

It means that they make android and bb10 phones. If you don't want a bb10 phone you can buy this one which is android.
They have confirmed that there will not be a priv with bb10 OS. The comment means that some phones will have bb10 and some will have android. As of right now none will have the option of both.
If I was going to but an Android phone, why would I buy a BlackBerry? There are a lot of other Android phones out there I can choose from. It's like looking at a school of fish and only one is noticeable....Samsung.

Perhaps one with sliding keyboard, dual curved display, with almost all goodness of BlackBerry ?
being a die hard legacy 9900 user who has just bought a new Q10 to try and embrace the BB10 system, I think I will give buying a Blackberry running Android a miss,
It's not a slam dunk for me. I will see how much the BB Suite will cost by itself and add it to the price of the Moto X Pure. For me, the Moto X Pure being unchained to a carrier and good for CDMA & GSM, pure android (except for 4 Moto apps that are useful) and quicker updates from Google makes it a far superior phone. I can live without the hard Keys as I've done fine with the Z30 just fine. It's this BB10 that finds someway to become useless as each week goes by.
Making the switch! The inconvenience of leaving BB10 and giving up on the productive flow will be outweighed by the convenience of having access to all apps, including the most updated versions! This means I'll be able to get the Garmin Connect app for my Garmin watch, smooth running UVerse app, HBO Go, Uber, my bank app, etc. Suspect that those regular conveniences will have a big impact on my smartphone experience. I love my Passport, but having the BlackBerry Productivity Suite and apps is going to win the day!
If your getting a Priv that is powered by Android, your not no BlackBerry representer. U represent Android and us die hard BlackBerry supporters do not and will not ever fall to Android. I'll love to smack that Android robot a few times. They better release the Priv with bb10

Good luck with that. The good thing is you can keep using the phone you have.
Bottom line is that If Blackberry sells the Priv with BB10 OS, very few people will buy it, because of the lack of apps. the latest earnings report stated 800,000 BB10 phones sold which includes, the Classic, Passport, Passport SE, the Leap, Z3, and Z30. So you do the math, unless the BB10 slider sold more than 1 million it's not practical and cost effective. Chen said they need to sell 8-10 million phones a year to make hardware affordable. So no there will be no BB10 slider, get used to it.
