I will get two and they will replace Classic, Passport, Q10 and Z30. I have two mobile lines and switch on a regular basis.

I would assume this is going to end as soon as the Slider is released. I do think however that the name "Priv" is somehow awkward.

Ask said in my previous post, I am buying two of them the day it's released and giving my passport to my nephew in Florida.
Hopefully this time around you'll get to keep them instead of convincing a client to buy them off you because they will have already got one on their own!

I'll certainly give it a go if it's not priced too high and it may replace my Classic. I don't have too many Android apps but it would be nice to have them run better. A lot of BlackBerry apps will be present and I hope BlackBerry Travel as well. If it has the overall BlackBerry OS feel, I think that it may be a great phone.

Only if this device is massively successful...... only then will they entertain the possibility of an OS 10 version... there's no way they will do this otherwise.

Depending on the reviews and battery life, I may sell my PP and G3 to buy the Priv, but since BB10 may already be a dying breed I might just keep the PP for nostalgia sake.

I think I read somewhere that getting qualcomm to do the drivers for bb10 was too expensive.

If the Priv becomes successful I don't think they'll make a bb10 version still because the majority of BlackBerry's current user base are actually on legacy phones...the vast majority.

There is basically no bb10 market despite what crackberrians might believe.

Basically, there is only market share to gain from android, gain from converting legacy hold-outs which the Classic failed at, and no marketshare to lose from bb10 users.

I would certainly buy another BlackBerry by Fall 2016. I had learned a lot from BlackBerry since this year's half. They are still testing the waters. Who knows which OS will they'll launch with their new device next year. As long as I get the assurance of BlackBerry's path, I'm off to wonder in the market with 2 phones having an old BB10 device. After all, it's all about security I could get only from the next update. If the Priv will be their last device, I won't probably get it, I'd rather go for Passport. At least it still make sense to use BB10 for work.

Priv with Android! It seems like you are against BlackBerry's decision and you are not a die hard BlackBerry fan anymore.

    Did you realize that?

I love OS 10 and BlackBerry harware! Not much fan of Android! I am fully agree with BlackBerry's decision but if I like Mercedes-Benz that doesn't mean I hate BMW

If you wish to see BlackBerry have a measure of success with its devices, then you need to strongly consider purchasing the devices released. Wishing for a better device won't help. You buy existing BB10 devices, or you buy the upcoming Priv, or you don't. That is the choice being put toward the market. It can go poorly, it can go mediocrely, or it can go well. Feedback is all well and good, but you vote with your purchases.

I'm reading this as, you have two choices, the Priv running Android or one of the bb10 devices thats are already out.

There is no 'or', It is 'and'! And when there is 'and' joining both two conditions both conditions has to be true!
