I'm currently going back and forth like an argument. I'm staring at it in my cart ready to hit submit, but then I'm thinking about how it'll be cheaper in a couple months like every other android phone.
I am doing the same thing and looking for coupon codes!!!

I would think about putting up with an android phone optimised by BB if it wasn't a slider. Looks good though.

Not me. It looks like a really nice device, although I do not require the physical keyboard. Put a BBOS on it and get it at Verizon, and I would upgrade to it from my Z10.

I am not, My Z10 is still running superbly and don't know when this Priv will release in india.
And is going to cost more than 800 US$ in india. In india no carrier releases BlackBerry...

You want a BB10 version AND this to be available on Verizon? Might be asking too much lol. While I left unlimited data on Verizon for the Passport, it's still a shame that the Passport was never available on the largest US carrier. Lots of potential sales lost, especially on the corporate side. Old news now though :-)

With the Priv. That's where BlackBerry as we all know and love ends. Unless your enterprise then yes. OS10 will be still around. Isn't it weird that OS10 will stay around for security for enterprise but not for the consumer??? Android can not be secure like OS10. And government and other enterprise company would not put there trust in Android that's a joke.!! Apple has better security then that! I will stick too my Q10 as long as I can at least till march 2016. I would never go too a Android platform. Apple is the last too have there own OS System and they would never sale out. Like BlackBerry did too there loyal customers. I would have been happy if BlackBerry said we will not sale devices but will update your OS10 twice a year. Or whenever so keep your passport or Q10 or whatever. I would have been fine them going Android too make money. Ok my rant for the day. I will enjoy my Secure day. Hahaha! And know my OS has not slept with every 3rd party platform out there. 

Just not impressed with the price. And with the price as high as it is, not sure it's going to get the amount of sales needed to keep it alive. I just really don't want to get screwed like I did on the Playbook.

Yes, with BB10, calling it the Cure (for the real SeCure one), but ok with the non-removable, as the Z30 cured that requirement.

Priv = privative : absence of BB10, depriving it's dedicated BB user base, taking away the number 1 rated OS.

I'm not upgrading, but that's really only because I have a young family and getting a new phone isn't a priority for me right now. I'll wait for a price drop.

I left Verizon, but I'm really really hoping there is a Verizon model. I don't believe it's been through the FCC yet, but doesn't mean it's not coming. Verizon has released phones a few weeks later than others in the past.

Verizon is the largest US carrier and my dad is still using his Z10 on Verizon's corporate side. Surely it would be a mistake to not offer it to Verizon and their many corporate customers!

Maybe I'm just still in denial, but last I heard all four carriers would get the Priv. Sprint though... seems doubtful.

Sorry for going a bit off-topic.

I'm upgrading to priv after using Q10 for 3years. I think the price is okay compared with other devices on the market. Tried iPhone and S6, still prefer BlackBerry. Although I don't like android but I am willing to give it a go. Phone design is good, apps are there etc. I'm up for this just waiting patiently when it will be announced in Australia.

Not going to the Priv either. My Passport does the job I need it to do and neither Android nor a slider format impress me at all. I serviced way too many broken Torch 9800s back in the day. Silder mechanisms are not sturdy and do not stand the test of time.

[SARCASM]Shhh, we should be careful about posting our opinions in this Priv section though, there are many people who are up in arms about all the "complainers" speaking their mind. Apparently if you don't tow the Priv party line around here, you're a complainer.

I will upgrade because I am a fun of the big screens and PKB, Priv offers me the keyboard and a bigger screen than my Passport, with which by the way I am more than satisfied.

Complaining about the slider mechanism is a sorry excuse.

I think I've heard people say "why would I want a fingerprint reader on my phone? Just another thing that could break"

I'll say this, it's been a while since I've seen a slider phone so, who knows, maybe this one will actually hold up well.

Besides I'm not trying to keep the Priv for years. 2 years tops.. But more than likely, a year then I'll see what else is out there.

If I can't find something to replace the Priv then I'll hold onto it until something better comes along.
