    All of a sudden my priv got a white line 1 cm from left edge.Working fine otherwise in all respects.Think it may have been caused by a charge voltage spike.any way this can be removed.other than a new screen.
    Would a factory reset be any good? Any experience?

    Nope, it is a physical problem. Screen replacement is the only cure.

    New screen or new phone.
