When is the Slider targeted to start selling in the USA, and one that will run on T-Mobile USA?

I'm getting old and two years I'm probably gonna be dead.

Christmas would be great then I can get my wife to buy the Slider for my present.

Any later and I'll have to let the Passport be my last device!

I thought that was the date talked about at first but couldn't remember if that was a rumor of had some validity. That would be good timing to prepare for Xmas.

My guesstimate:

1. Chen says "should be by the end of the year" so the chance of this happening: 50%
2. Chance of T-Mobile carrying it, initially: 20% at most.

So I would calculate the OP's chances at 0.5 * 0.2 = 0.1 or 10% at most.

That's some crazy logic...but intuitively sounds about right. Forgot one factor tho...either ATT or Verizon getting an "exclusive" on it is probably at least like 50%...so cut that in half to 5%.

Agree with needing to figure in the very high likelihood of having to give an exclusive to a large carrier. I'm going to be optimistic on the likelihood of the OP being around to use the Slider ... X 1.0

I pay for my phones up front so just need a slider with best radios for tmobile like sta100-5 z30 is specd best for tmo.

Back up the Slider release to the 13th so it coincides with my 61st birthday?? I got my first tattoo ever for my 60th last October and getting my Slider for 61 would be grand!

Yeah, but as much as Legere would like to believe otherwise, T-Mobile is still in last place in the carrier race. And from what I can tell, the Classic is going to be sold without any exclusive features by T-Mobile and At&t. Also, T-Mobile doesn't have a history of carrier exclusivity. The other networks do, but since the iPhone started being sold on every carrier, T-Mobile has ditched all of its high end exclusives. The only exclusive devices I've seen out of them are the LG phones that came out last year. Both low-end phones.

This is correct, more specifically 22nd October from what I've heard. Then again things could go smoothly and we may see a late September launch or things could end up like the Classic and we may see a November release. But at the moment bank on a October Release. Giving the device 2 months to go around the world before the festive season.
