    We know this was announced in March:
    BlackBerry Experience Suite - iOS, Android, Windows - Global

    Assuming that they still plan on releasing this suite for other devices (as they make it seem in the video), do we know of any other software differentiation that the Priv will have from a stock Android device running the BB Suite?

    Have they said if they plan on just have the Suite as a download from app stores? Is this something only devices hooked to BES will get?

    I suspect the difference with the BlackBerry-branded device is only hardware. Along with Grsecurity.

    Well, i guess the main difference will be that the Blackberry one will have a cleaner base install for productivity, instead of being filled with bloatware.
    And propably that BB apps will be paid for on other androids, while being preinstalled on this one

    The AT&T Galaxy S5 took over 6 months to get Lollipop.

    Unless you're Apple, the carriers always hold the cards.

    If BlackBerry make a few corporate wins with this device, the carriers may be more interested in pushing updates.

    The carriers aren't the only problem.
    Apple is:
    Apple -> Phone

    Samsung
    Google -> Manufacturer -> Carrier -> Phone

    Samsung (Manufacturer) has to take the latest code, merge in all their touch wiz stuff, add in any custom drivers and other device specific software, test it, send it to carriers who test it, then finally release to phone.

    If Blackberry is would likely be in the same boat as Samsung. The carrier step is annoying because it is so unecessary.
