I'm using a 64GB. 128GB is too much for my phone, especially at that price.

Does anyone actually plan on extending to 2TB? Not only is it bloody expensive, is it really needed on a phone?

Yes if you store a lot of 4K quality vids.

Buy a good quality SD card, it's worth it to protect your content and increase the speed between the card and your phone. I recommend Lexxar, the read and write ratio is blazing fast. 95mb/s read and write.

Not needed unless you have mass content to work with.

64 and 128 is good enough and most likely you will ever need.

Fair enough. How much memory does a 2 minute 4K video consume? Curious.

Hmm depending on the frame rate, at 60 frames you are looking at around approximately 20 gigs for about two mins? Depending on frames and I believe audio quality aswell. Yeah 4k is heavy and sometimes you are better off with 1080 @ 60 frames.

We are looking at roughly 375MB per minute so two minutes is 750MB and 60minutes is 22500MB (22.5GB). This is all at 30fps and probably at compressed levels. Uncompressed is probably double the 60min capacity. Imagine having multiple of high end 4K rips or Bluray quality videos and they fill up space pretty easily.

To support this kind of data on a SD requires you to spend big money on a quality card because you need high read and write to be able to manage the content better and more efficient.

    These are big numbers lol

    Edit: many - manage

Well Damn! Guess most will end up sticking to the 1080p at 60fps.

I have only ever bought a 64g card three times and I think the third time was by accident. The first two died on me in no time, they got 'corrupted.' i havent had that happen to a 32g card so I stick with those. All the devices can have it slipped in without preformatting at all.
