Ummm.... this is not a game changer consumer good.
The next game changer will not be a black rectangular slab with a computer & phone inside.
Likely it might be a flat circular device (looking like a hockey puck) where a hologram of the person at the other end appears in 3-D and starts talking to you as if they are in the same room. See Star Wars communications.
BlackBerry invented the business smart phone. IPhone invented the App toy consumer phone.

But now that it's a powerhouse android phone it has all the toy aspects but with business productivity for better user experience.
I'm just interested to see how many people comment on the phone when I pull it out being as most people just have the same tired slab that all look the same. One reason I got tired of my iPhone

They already have those a long time a go in a galaxy far far away.

Now, BlackBerry will have both those phones in one. See PRIV! But it will not be same but it could change the way businesses / gov look at future phones.
Priv is not targeting consumer market with Priv. It is all about businesses and Government

I'm sure a few of us here thought the same when the Z10 launched and we all know how that turned out.

They should have gone Android with the Z10. They wouldn't be in the mess they're in now. How badly they misjudged how important apps are to consumers. How short-sighted they were to think business customers wouldn't stray.
Things that make you go.....

Look! It's Zedzilla30!
It's not a gamechanger or a groundbreaking phone, so I don't think it will happen.
I'm going to nerd out here for a second so bear with me. Star Wars projections require Droids like R2. What we really need to progress towards is a full functional A.I. like Cortana from Halo! :)
Look! It's Zedzilla30!
Yea this isn't 2007 though, the market is quite different.
I read an article where microsoft is looking to change the landscape by honing in on true mobile computing with their windows 10 and phones, where you can be carrying a desktop in your pocket...
Watch for that.
BlackBerry was just too small a fish in this pond.

Fixed it for you :)
Remember when everyone had a Windows desktop PC in the house and business?
MIcrosoft had many people on various systems (95/98/200/ME/XP) but they crucially were compatible with one another meaning it didn't require a lot of adaptations to get a program to work.
But they all had one major problem in that they were vulnerable to viruses and malware. This is what began the Apple revolution with first the Mac. Apple had a great selling point that their systems were not as infected as PC's.
When Vista and 7/8 arrived Microsoft's biggest problem was that they had too many different systems out there and it was a struggle to convince people to renew and buy.
While Apple made progress in the computer and phone markets, the key is to identify where the next big seismic shift arrives. Microsoft aims to get everybody aligned back to one system with Windows 10 so it's easier to make money when everyone is in a connected ecosystem but Apple are already there. Apple are making more money than ever before.
Google also has its own ecosystem which BlackBerry is joining but joining something already there is not the next big thing. The clue is in the Internet of Things. At some point everything in the household will have to be connected through one device. That device is you.
Focus on you and that is the next big thing.

The next big revolution are going to be foldable and pressable displays and I'm not talking about something like force tough - which is a start - I'm talking about actually coming close to the mechanical feel of a real press on glass.
