    On the side of the retail box, there is a 6 digit number in DDMMYY format above the model number that gives the production date. Mine was produced on November 5th - ordered from Amazon.

    There has been some discussion of supply, demand,& just in time manufacturing.

    May I suggest that we add Date of Purchase alongside date of manufacture?

    It would give an idea as to how long the lead is between build and buy.
