what if were seeing isn't a 5.4" AMOLED screen from Samsung...

but better a 6.0"(or similar) OLED screen from LG...
That'll make the device even more long when the keyboard is exposed. I believe the screen would be 5.5

Wonder what the reason behind such jump on numbering is...
Remember how jellybean went on forever? 4.1-4.2-4.3 they should've just went on like this- Lollipop 5.2

It's my fault, Marshmallow is 6.0 not 5.2, I've been reading about 5.2 leaks for so long that I missed they set the version number to 6... ^^

    Back OT

As Bla1ze said in the podcast, it'll be a weird idea to mess with Marvel & Disney IP nor use something that has been used already (Samy) for other devices when you're about to reveal something "new". Must say I agree with that, second thought.

I don't know how they can release the phone without the BBM video calling feature. Frankly, since they want and need for its release to make a splash, need to differentiate themselves from other Android OEMs, etc., would this not be the perfect phone to debut the long-overdue cross platform BBM video?
Maybe they'll surprise us, and it'll include BBM video calling...

Kind of looks to me like Samsung had a major role in the development and design of the slider. Just a gut feeling.

These 'edge' screens look very nice, but I fail to see the point in them. Can someone enlighten me? Won't this just lead to more frequent accidental touch input?
The point is creating a "WOW" factor to make people buy more devices for the "cool" factor. It's a gimmick, but a gimmick that might help to sell, and make Blackberry look "cutting edge"

I was so angry when bb10 launched with z10. To me it was like they forgot to come up with a name until the launch.

I like that they have gone back to names instead of numbers.

I really want a New Bold

Yes you are so right! I am really mad about that, too! How can one simply put together a letter and a number to identify a device. And even if they make it so clear (at least in the beginning) of the Z and Q line, where the device is to be seen in the specific touch / kb series...! That's so silly. I wonder when there'll be a company just putting out something like S2 or whatever. These names really make me angry!

For the future please don't make such clear names! Better name then Bold 2356, Bold 1156 or even Bold 2342! This way we know that BB really thought about the devices names...

Or even names like leap, classic, etc. are better. So these devices could at least look like some kind of upgraded devices, even if they have the exact same HW inside... Maybe without compass, 5 GHz Wifi, etc. but still.... They are newer and better. Just imagine to name them Z5 or Q10,5....

Can't it just be called the Droidberry.

    Or the BlackBerry Combo.

It's a combo of BB10 and Android and a Combo of all touch and PK.

Until the advent of Pearl and Curve, Research In Motion labeled its devices with 3 or 4 digit numbers.

Pearl, Curve, Bold, Storm, Torch, Tour, and Style were followed by Z10, Z30, Z3, Q10, and Q5 until nicknames were reinstated for Passport, Classic, and Leap.

Avenger was most likely the name that was used internally. Many big corporations do this so if the name hits the streets no one knows what the device or product truly is.
