My bet is BB10 with a full android runtime will google play and still in a container. New look like it's Android M. but still full BlackBerry 10

I still hope gesture and active frames will be there in OS 10.3.3 or else I'm gone
How much do you want to bet?

Does someone have Chen's e-mail address? If so, let's all mail him how bad we want BB10 on the slider and maybe he'll make a last-minute vision change.

If it has the Android lock screen then it's running Android. The lock screen is a pretty critical area since a lot of hacks target vulnerabilities in lock-screen-enabled functions. In other words, the real OS locks the screen - you don't virtually lock down the device.

The fun factor wears off. Especially when things are as 'boring' as they've been lately lol. Also, pretty sick of the word 'Hypervisor' too. Just saying.
That word should come with a week-long vacation attached...

Are you suggesting that what we see is full blown android running on a VM within BB10? Or are you saying your tired of other people saying that?

I still don't understand why it's so far fetched to believe BlackBerry could license some of its patents, which are VERY valuable, to Google in exchange for Google play access. It seems like a win win for everyone involved.

I was trying to figure out what he meant by that too... that would be awesome if that's how it turns out

CB does seem to mention to take the leaks with grain of salt and what they are, where N4BB seems to really be pushing that it's full android

Some people said it was the backspace button that looked Android-like, but then again I saw the same one on the PKB pic so it may indeed be the case that they themed the keyboard for 10.3.3
The only PKB photograph I've seen was the one when BlackBerry showed the prototype back in March.
All the others have been renders.

I think the BlackBerry keyboard is part of the BlackBerry Experience Suite...
It's about time BlackBerry showed it actually running on Android, not to mention IOS, and Windows since they announced it months ago.

my friends at blackberry said the construction is cheap like the leap, all plastic but with the Z30/Q10 back. I guess they needed to keep the weight down. the 3.2" torch was like a brick even though it was all plastic construction. I can imagine this device breaking 200g if it was metal construction with the 5.4" screen

It is no secret now, especially after Bla1ze's post

As the base Android OS is running along with BB Experience suite (Hub & VKB revealed so far and possibly others suite apps running), the ones who saw like the Reddit user having confusion on OS it is running. IMO it is Android (Lollypop, maybe M).

Considering the reddit users seem to know about how bb10 works and talks about using the passport, assuming it's true, you must be stupid to confuse android with bb10
