I may have tweaked some settings somehow or made a mistake in making my SD card my internal storage but I can no longer record video in any resolution.

Do you get an error message?
Yup happen to me as well.. The error message "video can't be recorded"

Slo-mo video working tho
Update a restart fixed it
Hmmm. No issue here.
I assume you've tried a reboot?
After that, try uninstalling camera updates, and then reinstalling.
Where is the option for slo-mo?
Edit: Nevermind. Found it.

Slow motion feature is very dark for me but normal video works fine

possibly your mic was in use by another app. can't recall if the error message is different in that case though.
Then why doesn't the error say that?

Yes a restart fixed it.

The android API may not provide a descriptive enough error to do so.
Hehe just happened to attend a usability seminar yesterday talking about better error messages:
http://mattish.com/blog/post/mobile-...ng-from-errorsError messages should be expressed in plain language (no codes), precisely indicate the problem, and constructively suggest a solution.
Long way to go Android.
I too just couldnt video and was stumped.
Maybe some damage, did I need to update something?
NO!
It turns out that if your microphone is not selected in the Camera Apps 'Permissions' then it won't work at all [not just 'no sound'] !!
I hadn't thought of that and I've had this for over a year now..
Just to thank the intuitiveness of CBerry Forum because even if there's no direct answer, there's always clues you can read into..I was here and in under a minute,I'd found the possibility that it could be to do with the camera permissions, and it was just that!
Many thanks all in this thread for getting my brain in gear to get it sorted ok
Cheers!
