Just curious and if someone has an open thread to this topic already I apologize. However during the interview with the guy from Forbes, Chen was asked about this device and then proceeded to talk about qnx and Droid running similar coding architecture (unix) and then rambled about wanting to make sure in their newly focused IOT business they wanted end to end.

So from the pictures/articles I've seen the apps for BlackBerry software are in place, but is the kernel/back end secured with BlackBerry as well? That is to ask is this a qnxdroid?

    Hope that makes sense.

    All the best,
    Jordan

I think he was just choosing to answer the first question, "What's BlackBerry's relationship with Android" and avoiding the second one, "Are you going to make an Android phone?" He was describing the Android runtime on BB10. It's like he was saying that they already run Android apps so what's the big deal if they launch an Android phone.
