We also know that the Slider has the same type of dual edged screen as the Samsung S6 Edge. These screens are different than the one on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which is a single edge screen and includes a special edge display.

Whether the edge of the screen portion of the glass is curved is debatable -- which has been going on is this thread: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...creen-1039392/

Remember when everyone laughed when Samsung released the original Galaxy Note. A lot of people said how it was too big or how it wouldn't work and her they sold a bunch of them.

The Venice might be too tall with the keyboard extended or it may not. I think it all depends on how it actually feels and once your start to type on it. I think as long as it's not too top heavy we should be alright.

The guy who showed the Venice in the Baka Mobile video said it felt good and properly balanced when the keyboard was extended.

Yeah, I mean and we are talking BlackBerry here. They have a LOT of experience building devices. This isn't their first slider for either. The Torch and Torch 2 were some of their best selling devices. I think they'd actually have to try hard to screw this all up.

If this picture is to scale, then the slider is VERY tall. I have a Leap and that is a little taller than I would prefer but I am living with it. Once that slider is opened, it's going to look funny in my opinion because it's going to look enormous.
Well, it may wind up tall, but the slider style is really very cool. I had a 9810 slider (OS7) and loved it aside from the limitations of OS7 and 3G cell network. If not for the fact that I'm in a 2 year contract on a Classic I would strongly consider the slider, especially since it should do Google Hangouts natively, which would be really handy for work.

    Ah well, an imperfect world!

I mean we are talking 1.5mm or .06in wider than the Z30.. That's so negligible IMHO. As for the height, it'll be a bit taller but not too bad. I have been using the Z30 for nearly 2 years now and when I first moved to it from the Z10, it felt HUGE. Took about a week or so before I felt totally comfortable with it. Now I go back to my Z10 and it feels way too small. I think the Z30 is literally the perfect size for a device. If the slider keeps close to the Z30 dimensions (as it appears to be from the estimates), I think it'll be perfectly sized. So long as you are currently a Z30 user, I don't think the slider will feel big at all, it'll feel pretty damn similar. Look at the device market though, even Apple is moving towards larger devices. The average size device on the market right now is a 5-6" screen.. The slider is right in the middle of that. I really wouldn't bank on BlackBerry coming out with a Slider Mini TBH. Apple was the one company still holding back on keeping small devices.. Even they realized that market is dying and nearly gone now and came out with the "PLUS" variant which has sold incredibly well. Every single manufacturer is going larger, not smaller. I think BlackBerry will find the sweet spot with the Slider and stick with it as it isn't swaying too far away from their current largest devices (Z30 & Leap).
You are absolutely correct. For whatever reason my tired mind had read that it was 0.6 inches instead of 0.06 which is quite negligible, especially with the curved screen. I suspect that the curved screen will make it actually feel a bit more slim than its actually measurements - both in thickness and width.
