Yeah, but the biggest complaint about the BBRY selfies are how bad they are in low light and f2.8 is weak. The 2MP would be completely fine if it were an f/1.8 lens. If it's going to take bad pics why have the front camera at all? (Skype, I know...but that app is use much less frequently than Instagram, SnapChat, Dubsmash etc...)
Maybe Chen hates selfies... I do.

How do you know... did you ask BlackBerry themselves?

USB 2.0 entering into 2016... why BlackBerry why?

Good thing the phone can manage a 2TB card because that won't be annoying..

Is there a listing for the band's that other STV100-? Models carry? Isn't here a 100-2,100-3,100-4,100-5,100-6 etc?

Or have they included every GSM band into one phone so it would be compatible with TMO, AT&T, Bell, Rogers, Telcel, and European carriers?

I wonder why BlackBerry never created a BB10 device with specs like this? Am I missing the big picture here? Why couldn't the Passport have specs like this, or even the Z30? Why did we have to wait for Android? I got a lot of questions for Mr Chen.

Well, you have to remember, Android is a HUGE resource hog. If you didn't go with specs like this on Android - the phone would lag so bad that no one would buy it.

And - the Android community are spec nerds. They are complaining because the Priv comes with the Snapdragon 808 and not the Snapdragon 810. For Android users - specs are important. So - Blackberry sort of had to go for high end specs if they hoped to sell any units at all.

This is the least of my worries. The latest and greatest of everything would of been great but I'm sure they had to cut costs somewhere to save some money.

At least they didn't go the one plus two route and cut out nfc

Well Chen said they weren't releasing any bb10 devices.. At least not anytime soon. So what I believe he's trying to say is, don't hold your breath.

Android handset prices are set to go up because of the usb 3.0 ports. The boards are expensive to produce with usb 3

Wacom styluses are active. Passive are like those fat-tipped capacitive styluses.

No, that is the difference between the wacom and other styluses like Microsoft's or Apple's: the stylus itself is passive and needs hardware in the surface (pad/display) of which it writes.

Yeah they are already drooling over the S7 that might be dropping in January now......

    New 20-megapixel ISOCELL sensor
    Magnesium alloy and glass exterior
5.7-inch screen and Force Touch display technology to pressure-sense the tapping
Now talking about having "edges" on the top and bottom of the screen also
    ePoP chip technology
    Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset
worlds most powerful 32-bit stereo, digital-to-analog converter (funny how we are going back to analog for quality music)
    USB Type-C connectivity

Anyway in the Android market... your opportunity to SHINE, doesn't' last too long. And pricing don't hold for long either - at least not in the consumer market.

This line made me cringe. Do you even know what a DAC is?

The FFC doesn't even record in 1080p. Most flagships did in 2013. All around, the front camera is terrible.
I have many best videos with Passport front camera (mostly outdoor). Its ok!

"But a DAC is needed to convert the digital signal to analog to drive an earphone or loudspeaker amplifier in order to produce sound (analog air pressure waves)."

This is not Verizon's version. This is the US Unlocked and possibly AT&T's. Updated title to avoid confusion.
